The Educational Development and Stimulus Fund (EDSFUND (http://www.edsfund.org/)) recently announced a grant program that may be of interest to lFIRST teams.

FRC Team 236 was previously funded by this organization to support an electric vehicle project (http://www.edsfund.org/grants-awarded.html).

The grant requires a match and the funds must be used for Tormach and DIWire equipment, both of which have been used by the FIRST community (http://www.pensalabs.com/diwire-case-studies/).

Having spoken with the fund organizer, I can assure FRC teams that the funding source is legitimate, the application process is creative, and the review/award process quick.

I thought I recognized Old Lyme High School as an FRC Team.
We just submitted for this last week and are crossing our fingers for the grant to help purchase a 770.
Thanks for your endorsement for the program.
