From Troy, Michigan, Team 226 Hammerheads were thrilled to be in IRI for the first time in our team history. We learned much from all the great teams at IRI. Here's our small contribution to the event: a YouTube playlist of all IRI matches (except for qualification #2 and quarterfinal #2 where we forgot to press the record button). These links were also submitted to TBA.

John -

Thank you for posting these!

We've also posted match videos of the webcast feed, including post-match commentary for playoff matches and timeout interviews to the Indiana FIRST YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9UFVOe2UANzSyXr0SNJAIGvm3Cn1saDa).

We'll get them submitted to TBA ASAP.

Thank you!

Thank you for sharing these videos! I didn't have a chance to catch much of the stream. What were some of the more interesting matches?

Just watch all of the elims. Seeing the amount of stacks going up was like watching robots build their version of New York City.

Correct, we only recorded matches. However, LiveStream has the alliance selection starting around 5:00:00 on the 2nd stream from the top at http://livestream.com/FIRSTRobotics/events/4202783/videos/93407178

If somebody has the time, can you submit these to TBA? Archiving videos is important :D

Alliance selection was fairly uneventful. There were no legitimate declines, though when 1756 tried to pick 2338 in the 2nd round Gear it Forward couldn't really say yes...

It was a very interesting set of alliance selections being there. Only one in-pick, some smart, more risky picks that played out well, some risky picks that didn't play out well. It was fascinating, really.

Looking back, most teams were picked where they should have been, but a few teams that didn't get picked stand out quite a bit: 1325 and 2590 were two robots capable of 3 stacks in a match, 1218 was the 10th seed, and ended up not captaining an alliance or getting picked, 4678 was the most consistent tote stack autonomous routine left, and a solid two stacks/match from the feeder. 3130 was a consistent two stacks from the landfill.

I think some of these robots had unfortunate luck in qualifications and weren't able to show off what they're capable of because they either got stuck in the landfill or weren't given the cans to use. 1218 was unlucky in that there was no in-picking, and their stacks of 5 didn't seem desirable enough to any alliance. 3130- I don't know how they didn't get picked.
