Our head scout takes notes like this... He always sits alone during finals as he does not shower to save the data
Guy in the back: Now if only they'll actually remember to LOOK at their lists!
rest of the team: We'll add that to the list! *pull out Sharpies, start writing*

What we see here is the ritual markings done by the FIRST Tribe, for years anthropologists have tried to figure out why a tribe that avoids the sun at all costs to keep their skin as pale as possible would then mark it with dark colors. When we finally sat down with a tribesmen he responded with "Well it is more convenient then carrying paper around all day". Amazing.

You'll have to check with Big Al, but that is not an acceptable form of submitting your Bill of Material.

Blond girl: "Okay, who has the Friday afternoon schedule?"
Girl on Right: "That would be Tom."
Blond girl: "Where's Tom?"
Girl on Right: "He's still at the hotel."
Blond girl: "The matches start in five minutes!!!"
Guy in the background: " Maybe we should have kept the paper copy."
Data acquisition before smartphones.
Team Mean Machine combines the principles of "forms in triplicate" with "talk to the hand."
Someone said they should get Prison Tats and the drive team misheard them and gave themselves Pit Tats.

"Oh cool, pizza for lunch! Can I have some?"
"Sure, here, have this slice" *hands pizza over*
"Uh, thanks. Hey, whats on your arm?"
"Scouting data from this morning, just magic marker."
"Ummm, I think I want something else for lunch."
Sharpies, not just for breakfast anymore.
This idea works very well, unless you have for a mentor the one teacher who insists you wash your arms immediately after you try to use them to remember information.

Girl on the left: "We don't only use these sharpies on our hands. You should see our pit. And our robot. And our mentors' faces... hey guys, maybe we're taking this sharpie thing a little too far."
Boy in the front: "But the mentors look good with a mustache and glasses!"
Boy in the back: "Wow... I guess some of us are really living up to the team name."
