So a little time after the Championship was over I was thinking about this year game and even though the first reaction after the mission got published was that everyone thought it was going to be a boring game we got to see some intense matches (I was a little suprised but it happend).
So before we say goodbye for the 2015 Season for good I wanted to ask what was your favorite/ best match you've seen this year?
I'll start- gotta say Final 3 in Carson Subdivision was insane

Not a match, but this (https://vimeo.com/119664649) was my favorite robot action of the year.

Although not a part of the regular season, I must say this match (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYv1IzMemrA)was my favorite. #doubletenstacks4days

I would say my favorite match this year was F2 at IRI. Absolute insanity.

My favorite was the 1st, 50th, and 51st seed at the Silicon Valley Regional making 244 points to the 2nd, 4th, and 11th seed alliance's 220. Very unexpected turn of events there.

Although our gripper broke halfway through the match and one of our scythes refused to go up at first, here's my personal favorite match from 2015 (we're on the blue alliance): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vf8bNtsre1Y&list=PLPUJJPXRAlERbIefxhH0uoIGTPR-nTXE-&index=98. Extremely suspenseful. Thanks again, 1403 and 4653.

I predict Madtown Throwdown will have the best matches of 2015.

Well this one was certainly one of the most entertaining matches of the year. All three our our alliance's robots got tangled up in each other's tethers. We ended up having to drive along side each other to be able to score.

RIP Recycle Rush

In this case, I assume that RIP stands for Rarely Interesting Play. Recycle Rush reminded me of my own definition of infrastructure: it's something you don't notice until it breaks. Every exciting moment in the matches this year was either caused by something breaking, or a team/alliance working around something that was broken. Actually, that does rise above the "rarely" description; RR was a very messy game. As bad as Aerial Assault was, I'm hoping for mandatory bumper rules in 2016.

NE Champs Final 2. On one side the red alliance, made up of 1519, 195, and 2067, is doing their own thing as they set the NE District high score of 256. Meanwhile on the other side the blue alliance, consisting of 175, 1100, and 236, is making the crowd go crazy as 175 picks up the toppled over 1100.

We were able to land that 3 totes autonomous we just changed to fit with 2122's.
And that was a new high score in Tesla!

We get it. There are people who don't like this game. However, there are obviously people in this thread who have enough interest in this game to continue discussing it and sharing videos. Jaded retorts about being done with this game don't serve the purpose of this thread at all, and only belittle the opinions of those who are interested in this game.

There are times and places to appropriately express your discontent with FIRST or FRC game design. This is not one of them. Those posts are not productive. Not every single tangentially related thread needs to be filled with that kind of bile.

My favorite match of the year was IRI Match 56 watching all the hard work our talented students put into improving our robot for the off-season come out and show by clearing out all but one tote in the landfill!

After rebuilding the can grabbing mechanism 3 times, 1296 finally put up all the HP totes at RoboReboot-F1. This might be the only time this was done in competition by a single robot.

Some favorite of Our teams performances...

Q102 - Archimedes (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpfKpnXl-uI&list=PLbBZ-oKrRYExUYKGls499uppX_zt2fWKx&index=47&spfreload=10) - Definately not our best match according to pre-scouting, but we put together a great plan with our alliance partners and everyone executed exactly what they said they could. One of the few matches we got to score 3 6 capped stacks of the season. Ended with our high score of the regular season 242pts. Half a second more in auto and we would have had 20 more points with our 3bin auto. Thanks to Rookie Team 5571 - Ratchet and the MetalCrafters 207 for the great run.

Another favorite match = Archimedes SF1 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?t=49&v=Ek-P5K6qPBQ)= We went up against the #1 seed, Bedford Express and Gear It Forward. It had one of the best can wars of any matches. I'd like to say it was all our alliance that held them to an astonishing 43 points in a semifinal match at championships, but I think it was mainly the only time Bedford's ramp did not work. After they scored 43 in semifinal #1 we kinda all assumed they wouldn't be making it to the finals but their alliance put up some ridiculously good scores to finish the semis and then went on to Einstein.

QF 8 - IN State Championships (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FBnXzE_5p5k)
Our (nearly) worst moment of the season was when alliance partner 292 accidently took out three stacks with 10 seconds left trying to cap a 4 stack. Our operator falls over and the crowd goes insane. Gave rise to a pretty epic picture (http://www.kokomotribune.com/news/high-school-robotics/collection_ee06f98a-dc0f-11e4-9419-735d202e0610.html) but we luckily had enough stay on the platform to go on and win at IN State.

"one of the best can wars" pssssh

I was coming to this thread specifically to mention our SF series. The progression from SF 2,4 and 6 was absolutely insane. The SF4 score 197 was respectable, but we knew it wouldn't be enough to get us into finals. Then, out of nowhere, 3996 had the most clutch stack of the entire season exactly when we needed it the most, giving us the 274 match. SF6 was when everything that made our alliance strong happened all at the same time. There was more cheering in the pit after SF6 than there was after F2. It was seriously the most intense moment I have ever experienced in FRC.

That last SF match showed everyone that your alliance was a true Einstein caliber alliance. I know that our team talked about that match afterwards and we were all surprised. All of us had counted that # 1 alliance out of the race for Archimedes Champion and we were all amazed when you all advanced to finals. That was by far one of my favorite matches to watch was the SF 6. Good job guys (and gals).

Einstein SF 2 (https://www.thebluealliance.com/match/2015cmp_sf1m2) because 118's driver showed incredible skill maneuvering with a can stuck 6 ft up in the air on the grabber. Scored enough points to stay in the running to get the cliffhanger in SF 6 (https://www.thebluealliance.com/match/2015cmp_sf1m6).
