You cannot believe how big it is here in Chicago.

Can you believe it: After today, all the Back to the Future movies would be taking place entirely in the past! I think that's really freaky to think about.

Also here in Pittsburgh it is sort of big (probably not on the scale of Chicago at all). I'm sure there's more then a few references to the Cubs winning the World Series in Chicago? Haha.

Mind Blown!
I hadn't thought of that before......

We don't have our hoverboards yet, but the flux capacitor is an option on the Ford Focus.

Get used to it. I clearly recall this same moment ca 1984 (Orwell), Sept 13, 1999 (when the nuclear waste dump exploded on the moon per Space 1999, a really cheesy TV show) and 2001 and 2010 (Clarke). Hitting 1975, when Heinlein put a man on the moon, wasn't as exciting, as we beat his time by six years. I certainly didn't imagine that we wouldn't be back on the moon for forty more years (and still counting). :(

They're obviously based on a different principle (more like a hovercraft than the BTTF hoverboard, which appears to be antigravitic or magnetic). Just curious, how long can these run on a single charge (whether that's of a battery or a CO2 cartridge, or something else)?

It's a superconductor running on a magnetic track below the surface of the skate park. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IM0sRctOxQc) Lexus hasn't released any specs on it since a production run would be completely impractical, but I would assume that the nitrogen evaporates rather quickly.
