I agree.
Minority Report is a great movie.
You should see it as soon as possible, if you haven't already, and if you have, see it again.
Knowing is half the battle...

It's based on a short story by Philip K. Dick, my favorite author.
If you loved Minority report, read one of his books. They are really good. A Scanner Darkly is my favorite.

I very much intend to read Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? soon. I loved Blade Runner and Minority Report (the movies), and Philip Dick seems like one interesting person, from what I've read about him.

Saw it last night, great movie.... I still like The Matrix better :D
Phillip Dick eh? I think i'll keep my eye out for that name next time i go to a bookstore....
While I definitely enjoyed Minority Report, I don't feel like it gave me a mental workout or anything.
Maybe it's because I read a lot that compared it to A.I., and I thought that A.I. was far more cerebral . . . but, I'm not affected or anything.
Still, I'd like to see it again, perhaps.

My favorite part about the movie is that Disney's Lilo & Stitch is beating it in terms of total earnings.
Plus, since kids tickets cost less, is also getting greater attendence.
minority report was awesome.... saw it openning night... well by the time we saw it i guess it was the next day but we saw it bright and early the day after openning (12:15 in the morning is the best time to see movies)
everyone should go see this movie because it roxors your boxors!
(you can quote me on that) ;)

He is a really interesting person! He was fascinated with the idea that there is no reality: that each person sees a different version of reality, and if poeple are crazy, they may not be "wrong," but therir version of what is real is so distant from out own, that we cannot comprehend it.
www.philipkdick.com has a lot of good stuff about him, its in interesting site. Check it out if you want more info.

Whoah, thanks for the link.
Everything2 (http://www.everything2.com) is also a great resource for... everything.
I've found a few nodes, one (http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=13234) is the node specifically about Philip K. Dick, another (http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=1294041) is specifically about PKDick's view of reality, and even another (http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=1299278), written by a member of 258 no less :), about reality, and the perception thereof.

I highly recommend E2 to everyone, without discrimination. It's a great website, and should be exposed to as many people as possible.

HOLY CRAP...
The only things I was able to say after I watched it (today) were "crazy", and "friggin crazy" :D
Te best part is when Tom Cruise is solving the future-murder and he plays Franz Schubert Symphonie No. 8 movement 1 in the background! I couldn't concentrate it was so cool!!!

Actually, I think he was going to pop some neuroin, and watch some home movies, but whatver. Besides the sandwich and milk (if you can call them that), there's not much in that movie that wasn't %%%% cool... in my opinion... (I saw it for a second time last night :D )

Very good movie. Go see it. I don't think it is "mind blowing," but it tells an intresting story in an intresting fashon.
