Great Job David!! :D

It was hilarious when u hit the wrong button during Cotten Eye Joe and the music stopped, and it messed everyone up who was dancing...Then when u did that cha cha slide (is that right) and you hit the pause button to throw them off....lol

that Cotton Eye Joe wasn't my fault! The song wasn't a complete download. Oh well, i guess it was my fault. That was fun pausing the song for the cha cha slide. :D

I'd like to think Molly Menges from 45 for her help with the music. I think you are an expert volume control person. :p And if you didn't like the music for the award ceremonies, blame it on Molly. She chose them and was responsible for the bad song played during the awards.

All in all, i had a great time with you TechnoKats helping me out. It would have made my job tougher if you didn't give your advise and expertise.

I think that David Kelly's DJ-ing was the best ever at any FIRST competition. I'd like to post some highlights:

As we were setting up Friday morning:
"Whistle While You Work" from Snow White movie

When Wildstang was in a match:
"Wild thing" by ??? (the Troggs?)

When the Thunderchickens were in a match:
"the Chicken Song" by some polka dude

When Huskie Brigade and Tech Hounds played each other:
"Who let the dogs out?" by whoever

One match... Sean Roberts (ref from 330) requested "Break" by Linkin Park. The TechnoKats robot broke during the match, and then once the match was over, David played "I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor.

You gotta love the Sponge Bob Square Pants song.

And when we were cleaning up afterwards, I think I heard...
"Barney Clean Up Song" by the purple dinosaur.

Also... he had the guts to play "Balls to the Wall" by Accept... a favorite of some old school hard rock fans.

And... for the record, I thought that playing "You Got What I Need" by Biz Markie during the awards ceremony was very keen.

There are more, but these are the highlights.

Anyone who is interested in what was played at IRI can grab the playlist attached to this message :)

EDIT: Andy didnt he play "Biz Markie--Just a Friend" during the awards? If i remember right Molly picked it out for some award that had to do with "helping".

EDIT #2: Looks like that song is called 2 names. :D

Most of the music was pretty good. But can I ask why you played that Barbie song? Our whole team got a real laugh out of that.

I was glad to finally here some Metallica at a comp.

Thanks for the music

How did you know I was the one to request it??? :p

anyway the chances of D.J. doing the cha cha slide at a FIRST event are slim to none..... :D
