I was on the way home from FIRST PLACE of all places when I saw This sign on the Side of the road! I pulled over and grabed my digital Cam out of my back-pack and snapped this pic!

Its in the Home Town of the Segway and Dean Kamen, Manchester NH. IF you are familiar with the area go check it out, Its a couple streets up from Deka on Webster Street, across the street from Bunnies and Stanly's Barba Shop (thats where I get my Hair cut!!!!!!)

I got an error when I clicked on the link.

Man, that is funny. But hey, anything to get Dean's attention, right?

I talked to Dean Today, He said he had no idea about the insurance company!

Would the insurance be for safety precautions or would it be for damage, accident and theft? I thought you couldn't fall off a Segway? And wouldn't it be pointless to steal one if it needs an unique key to start it?

1st- I dunno wut it covers. Of you want, call the number thats on the sign
2nd- Yes it is possible to fall off the segway, I'v seem it happen
3rd- Any hacker can crack the puny 64bit encryption, Segway even has "Demo Keys" that can work on ANY Segway.

Now the Segway doesn't sound as appealing as it did in the beginning. :(

errrr... Matt, slight error in your comment about the Hacking. I dont know if that was an old post or you weren't there for the Q&A session of one of the demos. But, if the Segway detects any type of hacking going on, it erases its programming and source code rendering it useless... (I think I have that right.)

And there are only a few Demo keys and i'm sure they are kept under lock and key.

BUT, in theory you could back-up the source code, edit it, re-render it and then upload it back onto the segway. So you could creat a code that would accpet any key.

And dude, I was standing right next to you.

I found a article on hacking the segway. The AI foundation already did it!
