SCALING THE TOWER

Does anyone know if my robot can scale the tower only if the tower is damaged (my alliance made the tower weaken - 8 goals)? Please help. I don't find it at the manual.

You can scale the tower even if it is not damaged. You are not allowed to Capture the tower if it is not damaged (capturing gains you 1 RP)

The rules are very clear about what exactly is required for scaling the tower:

A ROBOT has SCALED the TOWER if, at the conclusion of the MATCH, the ROBOT:
A. is in contact with a unique RUNG, and
B. has all of its BUMPERS fully above the height of the low GOALS.

Nothing other then those requirements plays into the 15 scaling points.
