Pay specific attention to the pages on telescoping lifts. The 254 example is, AFAIK, of the continuous rigging variety. :)

I would highly recommend not attempting a 254 style construction elevator. There are much simpler ways and designs.

I second this. We did last year and learned our lesson well.

I don think we´re actually using it on our robot, I was just wondering how the in bar design works for a multi-stage lift.
