We have 6 brand new 8 inch Pneumatic Wheel (am-0970) (http://www.andymark.com/wheel-p/am-0970.htm) for sale. We realized we did not need them and due to them being sold out on AndyMark we are trying to sell them to another team.
They are $50 each ($300 Total) OBO. Shipping will be added based on where we are sending them.

So, you're selling them for $13 more than AndyMark sells them?

We may consider taking you up on this. Can I talk to my mentors and get back to you in the morning?

I knew someone else was going to realize this:

I was sitting on 4 of these wheels I got from MicroCenter for 1/4 the original price as they were clearance.
Was going to start the bidding on eBay at the current price.

I mean I did have some costs in getting the wheels from MicroCenter and storage costs for holding on to them.

Thing is someone needed them so I decided to give them up before I got this far in.

I am also a little surprised that no one has opensourced an STL for a suitable hub to be 3D printed for the tires and tubes which can be gotten more easily.

With this crowd and the rush for pneumatic wheels, I bet he could find a taker for twice that amount.:ahh:

I recommend teams looking for pneumatic wheels to check out skyway (http://skywaywheels.com/) They have various sizes for pneumatic wheels and not all of it is listed on their website.

I just wanna drop this in the bucket to maybe inspire students. There are many ways to skin a cat in engineering. Sometimes we become too tunnel visioned when we can't get something.

Andymark doesn't have the TIRES and TUBES. but you know what, that is a pretty common size you can just about get anywhere else.

Andymark has the HUB instock, that is the best part. Purchase the hubs you need then maybe look somewhere else for the tire and tube. It's a metric size of 200 x 50 is the tire you are looking for. In some cases, they even sell FOAM FILLED tires. Here is a link to eBay with numerous choices.

You can atleast buy some eBay tires to test your proto-typing to buy you some "time" if you really want the kewl Andymark brand.

Happy shopping and sourcing...

EDIT...well YESTERDAY Andymark had hubs in stock...not today...LOL... Oh well....I tried.

Gotcha. However, to everyone else reading the thread, they still do have the 6" hub in stock: http://www.andymark.com/product-p/am-2469.htm

The tire and tube for this sized wheel can be purchased from McMaster-Carr: http://www.mcmaster.com/#2717t55/=10mwsgw, as well as a variety of other sources.

Do you have recommendations on how to integrate these into the KOP?

They'll custom make hubs and they can also put keyed hubs into the wheel or bearings.

Only in large volume orders according to the disclaimer on the bottom of the page.

Only in large volume orders according to the disclaimer on the bottom of the page.

The 10" Pneumatic and the 12.5" Pneumatic comes with a 3/16" keyway so that should be pretty easy to adapt with andymark hub (http://www.andymark.com/Hubs-s/215.htm) or sprocket.

I'm willing to bet that the 8" and 6" versions with the 5/16" bearings can be easily adapted with a hub from andy mark or one of their wheel mounting kits (http://www.andymark.com/Wheel-Mounting-Kits-s/226.htm) + sprocket

According to their order form (http://www.andymark.com/Wheel-Mounting-Kits-s/226.htm)Prices are very good too..$25 for the 10" or 12.5" and $18 for the 8" or 6".
