the ni service locator is not running

Has anyone received this error and not posted it? I searched but no hits. It shows up when I try Support/Find FRC Examples then double click any example. Thanks for any help.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the laptop may need to be rebooted after install, but that didn't take place. You can start services by hand, but there may be other things that also want the reboot. So restart the laptop and see if that fixes it.
