What i normally do and I have been making videos for a while is, look on youtube for all the reveal videos you can find. What program are you going to be using? I may be able to help out a little more depending on it.

I will probably be using GoPro Studio (http://shop.gopro.com/softwareandapp/gopro-studio/GoPro-Studio.html) and Adobe Premiere (http://www.adobe.com/products/premiere.html).
