Watch our reveal video here! (https://youtu.be/XPei7-xBJFg?list=FLHvxa61Ds_QEqu6qjQQALcA)

Main Features

Low-bar capable (min. overall height: 14")
Can cross group A,B, and D defenses unassisted
High release point shooter, with consistent batter-pin shooting, batter cleat shooting, and ranged shots
Polycord collector can intake boulder from many angles
No pneumatic components makes for a smaller, simpler electrical system and more easily interchangeable/replaceable parts.

Technical Specifications

Drivetrain: 8x8" pneumatic wheel tank drive, with 4x2-7/8" passive wheels between the driven wheels to provide smooth crossing of the defenses. Front wheels raised, allowing for smooth landings off defenses.
Drivetrain powered by 4 CIM motors with WCP SS gearboxes, 14:60 second stage (~10.5fps).
Shooter angle is adjusted using a 12" DART linear actuator with 775Pro motor with Versaplanetary gearbox.
Shooter rollers consist of 12 2-7/8" Banebot wheels driven by 1 775Pro motor with Versaplanetary gearbox with integrated encoder. One AM 6" Performance wheel is used as a flywheel to increase moment of inertia.
Four polycord loops within the shooter secure the ball while driving, and handle the intake and ejection of the ball into the shooter rollers. Polycords are driven by 1 BAG motor with Versaplanetary gearbox.
Boulder collector utilizes single-loop and figure-8 polycord to draw ball towards the center of the robot, then into the shooter. Driven by 1 775Pro motor in Versaplanetary gearbox. Collector doubles as manipulator for group A defenses.

Gear it Forward will be attending the Arkansas Rock City Regional (week 2) and the Midwest Regional (week 5).

Best of luck at the competition!

Do you guys plan to do more up close shooting or long distance (up against outer works) shooting? I saw the one shot that was from beyond the outer works, but every other one was from on the batter. Thanks.

Well, "beyond the outer works" is relative term. The clips in the reveal video show the outer works significantly closer to the tower than they should be. (small shop struggles) We plan to focus on tower-pin shots, as these provide consistent alignment without vision, and reduce potential for defense to impact our shooting consistency.
