Robot Specs:

Drivetrain:

Two-CIM Two-Speed Ball Shifter Gearboxes
Belt Driven 6WD Drop-Center
~8" Pneumatic Wheels


Arm:

Custom pivot joint powered by two 775pros
Custom pneumatically actuated ratchet-pawl to lock arm position
Rotates from pickup to shoot in < 0.5 second


Shooter:

Custom belt drive via 775pros
Shooter wheel position optimized for accuracy and consistency
Capable of shooting from batter to outer works


Telescoping Arms:

Three-stage telescoping arm
Constant force springs assist climbing
Custom winch gearbox powered by two 775pros with pneumatically actuated ratchet-pawl
Capable of climbing in < 4 second

Can't wait to see you guys tomorrow.Thanks for the kind words. While we frequently refer to many teams, including 1114, as good examples of how to run a quality team and build a competitive robot, make no mistake, this robot was designed originally, in-house, from the ground up, by the students of Team 696. This is the kind of result we get when I take a year off to do projects around the lab instead. I'm very proud of what the students have accomplished this year.

While not the "coolest" robot I've seen out of 696 (swerve represent), definitely the one that seems the most competitive out of the box. Can't wait to see it work!

Also, that's a lot of 775 pros. o.0

I love this robot, looks very clean and elegant as always. The arm/claw looks like an upgrade from 2011.

Can't wait to see Banshee this weekend. :)
