Where are the flags. Did I miss this discussion?
KC was having trouble getting them to actually work, so might have been the same wherever you were wondering about.
To be honest, I don't remember seeing flags fall in person at Mt. Olive last weekend or at any of the webcasts I've watched. I also don't remember the opponent's flag being raised at Mt. Olive either. Or any flags at all.

I saw the flag assemblies at NYC sitting by the field. We also do not have standard holders or a completed batter... Hope it will be all ok by tomorrow. :)
Oh, so THAT's what those things in the box with the Low Bar material were!
Now if only they'd send the rest of the standard holders...

This gave me a chuckle. I'm glad I'm not the only person who noticed it.

FIM Lakeview has the flags last I checked.

The shipment of the flag assemblies never arrived at MAR.

We had them installed at Kettering #2, but I didn't see if they worked or not. If I recall correctly, we had 2 matches where the CASTLE was CAPTURED. The FTA said they were a little touchy, it works with a small servo and a spring so the spring tension has to be just right. And I don't know the timing of them, since the refs have to wait after the match to see if a ROBOT rolls off the BATTER after the final buzzer.

Do you know if there were any plans to swap one from the red side to the blue alliance captain driver station?

Update NYC has the flag assemblies along with the rest of the batter. Still no standard holders from what I see but that's nbd

No idea, not even sure if it's possible.

Arkansas has them installed, but they don't seem to actually move.

OK, so those assemblies came in at some point, and were installed by today's opening ceremonies.
We had them in Israel, the flags dropped on a successful capture but they were reset manually.

We had the assembly's at Pittsburgh this weekend. As soon as the tower was weekend the flag droped. However the flag that was supposed to raise when the tower was captured never actually rose, at least in the matches I saw. It looked like it was trying to raise but never actually did so.

The flag assemblies were up and working at PNW Wilsonville, I was involved in getting them setup and tested on the field. The alliance flag will drop as soon as the tower is weakened in match. The capturing alliance flag will not raise until final scores are announced post-match, as it relies on getting committed ref scoring for challenge and scale of each robot.
The lowering flag worked without a hitch. The raising flag took some adjustment to get it so the latch solenoid could overcome the spring force. Once setup, it worked flawlessly all weekend.
It is a great game detail getting to see the flags raise and lower on the tops of the castles.
Peachtree Columbus District Qualifier had them on and working, and they did drop once during a qualifier.
I will tell you, they make a extremely satisfying sound when they activate. A nice Ker-Chuck with along with a great electrical BZZZZZZ sound. I don't think you could hear it during a completion, but during the field tests, its awesome!
Also we found that they are very sensitive to flag position, We initially thought the ones we got were not functional until we got the flag facing the right way on the rod.

Central Valley didn't even have them installed. Not sure if they just weren't in the road case or if the field setup crew just decided not to put them up (I wasn't able to make it for field setup this time so I don't know).
