Next year, I want our team to use Python for programming - I think that it's easier to learn than C++ or Java, as well as the fact that I know Python (much) better than either of those two languages. However, I'd like to POC this during the offseason, when I will have no access to the robot.
How are folks powering a RoboRIO that's separate from a PDP, SLA battery, etc - all of that seems a bit overkill for an offseason project that's not going to power any actual motors or anything of the like. At best, I'll be measuring the PWM pins with a multimeter.
