The wire gauge standards we have are MINIMUM wire gauges for
the system. Teams are free to use larger gauge wire if they wish in order
to improve robustness or reduce voltage drop.
For the fusing reasons teams must use the minimum wire gauges for the
various subsystems below:
#6 - main battery harness and connections to power
distruibution busses
#10 - Connections to Victor Speed Controllers
#16 - Connections to Spike Relays
#24 - Connections to Analog and Digital Sensor Ports.
