There are some good teams on this field (233, 610, 2122, etc). Pretty deep! Eliminations are going to be very fun to watch.

Looking forward to see our good friends MORT 11 from the Hawaii regional last year, Northern Knights 296 from GTRE and an old face in Coconuts 2486 from 2014, our old alliance captain.

Looks like a pretty decent division!

Happy to see that 51 and 1918, our 2014 Archimedes alliance partners, are here with us again! Looks like a stellar division.

Carson subdivision is going to be fun! There's a lot of teams my team hasn't met before, so I'm glad that we'll get the chance.

Shout out to team 6144 Angelbots Gold for us being the only two Texas teams in Carson :D #Represent!

I would also like to say that I'll be glad to see teams:
6025 Adroit Androids from Istanbul, Istanbul
5897 Apex Robotics from Calgary, Alberta
5879 Shadow of Orion from Beijing, Beijing
5663 Ground Control from Perth, Western Australia
1156 Under Control from Novo Hamburgo, Rio Grande do Sul
746 Gearheads from Torornto, Ontario
610 Crescent Robotics from Toronto, Ontario
and 296 Northern Knights from Montréal, Québec

Of course I'll be glad to see all the teams, but one of the things I've always loved about FIRST is meeting teams from other countries.
I want to wish a good luck to everyone on Carson, and cheers to a great season!

The Cyborg Cats created a global sheet for all teams going to worlds. It is currently being updated on a per division basis. It is found here. (https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=F9E708D6DA8DCC02!508&authkey=!AG-mu6LGdUM4LmE&ithint=file%2cxlsx)

That's a pretty impressive sheet! Is that what y'all plan on using for your scouting, or is that just to act as a database for numbers?

Interesting division, almost exclusively blockable low shooters. I expect to see a lot of easy defense here able to greatly affect match outcomes.

I think there are many courtyard shooters IMO.. that's where the easy defense comes in when bots can push other bots around. Outerwork shooters will be highly valuable.

I can agree with you there. As the season has gone on, more and more teams have learned how to properly defend the courtyard. There are a lot of teams that can shoot really well and really consistently, but the fact that some of them are required to be in particular places, at particular distances can really change their match shot averages whilst against a good defender.

Never the less, this subdivision is gonna be fun for scouts!

Thanks!
Any practice match schedule?

Do they usually post the practice match schedules? I may just be blind or clueless(because that's never out of the question), but I have never been able to find a physical list. It's a little frustrating for the scout team, we just end up skipping practice matches and just focus on qualification matches.

I don't think they do. They just hand the practice match schedule to your team Wednesday morning to my knowledge.

It's funny...the past few years, 135 has been in very Indiana-influential divisions. 2014, we were in Curie with 447, 1501, and 3301. Last year, we were with 234 and 5403 (taking seeds 2 and 3 together, and 5403 also made elims). Now 135 gets to play with 868 and 1024, which are again two of Indiana's best.

Carson also has a pretty good international representation this year. There are several Canadian teams (more than usual, or do a lot usually make it?), as well as a team from Brazil, Turkey, Australia, and China.

I'm pretty sure that it's less than usual, at least it is for me. In 2015 Curie, there were 5 Canadian teams, in Newton 2014 there were 6 Canadian teams and in 2013 Galileo, there were 10 Canadian teams.

However, the drop can be partially attributed to the +4 divisions I guess, but I think that there are still a lot of Canadian teams at Worlds this year.

I can agree with you there, 2015 Curie WAS very diverse. I'm sure it does have a lot to do with the addition of divisions. That probably means that these next couple seasons are gonna make it feel sparse with diversity, since they're spreading out even more with Championships.

225 is looking forward to playing with the other great Carson teams!

Out of the last four years we've went to champs, this will be the third time we're in the same division/subdivision as 973 and 2052. 3rd year in a row for 973.

Blah blah big list of teams...
5931 Bots of Prey Caldwell, Idaho
Few more teams...

In comparing the team list in the link with what you have, it appears as if we have replaced 5931 with 1625. Prepare to Winnovate?

I wonder if that means they'll be rerunning quals schedules, or just replacing every instance of 5931 with 1625. Anyone know if there is precedent for this?

The precedent is to scrap the old schedule and run a new one, that would happen if a team didn't show up to a regional. The FMS does not have the ability built in to do a straight team replacement in quals. The creators of the system might have a trick up their sleeves.

I had to try to figure out the URL myself. The navigation paths on the FRC Results pages aren't the most intuitive.

I had a blast during this last week, and all of us from 1619 had a ton of fun competing with some really great teams. Congratulations to teams 2122, 2052, 3538, and 41 on winning! Thanks to our awesome alliance partners, 525, 4028, and 3352! We had a great run, and got close to the finals! I'd also like to give a shoutout to teams 225, 1024, and 5895. They had incredible robots, and I was impressed by them. Good luck on Einsteins, guys!

Team 2052 KnightKrawler had a blast competing in the Carson subdivision this year which was filled with high caliber teams. A huge shout out to our alliance partners Team 2122 The Tators, Team 3538 RoboJackets, and 41 RoboWarriors. (especially Team 2122 The Tators for picking us) It was a wild ride to Einstein and it certainly was a great ending to champs this year for 2052! I'd also like to congratulate the Finalist alliance which consisted of Team 5895 (seriously.. these guys are rookies and were stunning to compete against. Future powerhouses for sure), Team 1024, Team 233, and Team 3688. I also want to give another shout out to the 7th seeded alliance consisting of Team 1619, Team 525, Team 4028, and Team 3352. This alliance was putting up 60 point autos and they were killing it in teleop during quarters and I thought they would go into the Finals for sure, but due to some issues with 4028 they had to put a backup in and they lost in semis.

Overall, this was a thrilling 4th year at championships for me as a senior on our team! I'm feeling the blues that this is the last year going to championships as a student on 2052 for me, but I'm happy our team ended it in such a fashion. :o

EDIT (thought of this later to add to post):
Also, our vision processing broke down after quarters 2 at Carson. Our driver was adjusting manually to shoot into the high goal using cross-hairs for the rest of Carson elims and Einstein quarter-finals.

Finally, congratulations to the Carson Division Winners (2122, 2052, 3538, 41) for their amazing performance this weekend!

We hope to see many of you next year in St. Louis!
