It is with heartfelt sadness that I share with all of you the sad news that Henry Griffin passed away Saturday morning, May 21. He suffered a fatal asthma attack. Henry was a member of FRC Team 120 for the past four years, and building robots and competing with them was all he could think about every year when FIRST season started. Henry, with his optimistic attitude, often told everyone that we would eventually win it all -- and we did. This year Henry saw his dream come true: Team FRC 120 became the 2016 World Champions.

I’ve included a link to a local Cleveland news article that tells his story. Please remember Henry in your prayers. He was a true World Champion!

I've also included a link to a gofundme page that was set up to help bring Henry to his final resting place.

May I send your team and the family of Henry my biggest condolences.

My only hope is that in the stands with all my fellow students is that one kid who will make big advancements in cancer, healthcare and of course, asthma.

Wishing you all the best and congratulations on your worlds win!

Oh man, I can only imagine what Henry must have been like. My condolences go out to all his friends and family, this is really terrible news. At least it is a little bit heartwarming that he achieved his robotics goal of winning worlds. Terrible to see a person of his caliber pass away.
