I thought that the bottled water passed out at Nats with the FIRST logo on it was supposed to be sold in stores. Has anyone seen it???

I found nothing at their website about it.

I got excited too, considering they were handing out a real product at nationals and not just a promise.

I know they sell the brand of water in 1 machine that i know of at work, Rolls-Royce. It's the only place in the city that i have ever seen it. If we do get it, im sure i'll stock up on some...:cool:

I also have an unopened bottle. I snatched like 5 of them knowing I'd drink some, lose some, and soak people. I lost/soaked/drank all but one :) It's currently atop my bookshelf.

I am saving my bottle for something special....yes at nationals last year i was on my way to dump the bottle on (his/her) head but the award ceremony started and it never happened...so at next year at the championship this bottle is going on (his/her) head

Who can it be? :D

<edit> Its nobody on my team, and its not the most obvious people you would think of <edit>

yeah, every now and then our team's like
"hey, whatever happend to the FIRST bottle?"
and then there's that dramatic pause...
its become almost like a myth:(
and i happly told my family about it when we got back last year,

I just sent yet antoher e-mail to the wonderful/uninformed people at National Beverage. Maybe this time I might actually get somewhere with it. Last time I tried I got the reply that they did not know when the release was going to be but... Yah never know that was a couple of months ago.

I remember having chugging contests with those. It was so freaking hot that day. Me and my friend each had a backpack full. I saved one, and I think the others went towards filling up water balloons and chucking them into random places in the crowd. If you were hit, it wasn't me, lol.

Does it have to be the FIRST bottle, cause their at my house, an im in philly(my house is not in philly). Cause if it doesn't i will do it, you better come through though

My bottle stands proud atop my computer desk, right above the monitor. 'Tis been empty for some time now, since it was used on the massive FIRST-wide water fight at nationals. My guess is over 85% of the crowd was wet by the time Mandy Moore came on.
<edit> - anyone remember the large beach balls that materialized during awards? 'twas the left section of the bleachers vs. the center vs. the right. 2 balls would materialize, then mysteriously get taken to another section, then mysteriously stolen back and so forth. "awws" and "yeys" were heard from the crowd as the balls went over the edge/got stolen/came back.

'Twas kinda funny.

I recieved a reply from the People at National Beverage. This is what it said:

Thank you for your interest in Mt. Shasta/FIRST Water! The FIRST water was introduced in April 2002 primarily through our Food Service distribution which goes to schools, hospitals, vending, etc. If you can reply to this email with information regarding where you live (city and state) I would be happy to try to locate the product for you.

So I sent them a reply inquiring if there were any nation wide wholesalers that carried the bottle. Once I get a reply I will post it here.

Like I said I asked if they could tell me if any national wholesalers(Sam's Club, etc.) sold it. The person e-mailed me saying that it went out throught the food distribution part or something like that and said that it was sold to schools hospitals vending machines and things like that so who knows what kind of anwer I will recieve back.

I don't think I will get a reply till like Monday or so but... I will keep everyone here informed. You could also go to the website and e-mail them yourself if you so choose too. The website is

I just returned from a forum at headquarters... and I found why water isn't being sold anywhere! FIRST Place is buying all of it to use...... everyone was carrying around a FIRST bottle of water. The first person I saw with one, opened it and started drinking from it..... I yelled at her.... and said NOOOO!!!! What are you doing! I can't believe you just opened that!!!! She gave me the darndest look, and said that there were tubs of it over in the other room.:rolleyes:

So..... I finally acquired an unopened bottle of FIRST water!

Unfortunately no.... They have yet to reply to me. SO I say we all inendate their inboxes with e-mails:D. j/k I think they forgot about me like the time before that e-mail. I also haven't seen the water anywere around here. I think it is kind of pointless to make all those special bottles for nationals last year and have nothing come out of it. BUT that is just my opinion. Who knows maybe something will be said at kickoff.
