I got my acceptance into MSU two weeks ago (Go Green!) and found out last week i get basically 10 grand a year w/o any other scholerships, so i've been pretty happy lately. I sent in my Notre Dame application friday, and i still have to fill out ones for U. of Kentucky and Virginia Tech.

Anyone else lookin at any of those??

My boss went to MSOE. From what I've heard about his college stories, it sounds like an excellent school.

(If you are a senior) Well considering most schools have "Apply Early" in big letters on all their application info guides....id say yes.

I received my acceptance letter from Mansfield University about a month ago. I was happy, because that means I will have the opportunity to march with the 'Pride of Pennsylvania, the Marching Mounties'. They have a 3-2 program with Penn State.
I also applied to Penn State main campus, however they do not want me to start at main campus. I have been granted admissions to all of their satellite campuses. I get to pick and choose, however I don't think any of their satellite campuses have marching and/or concert bands, so I am unsure what I will do with that decision.
I am awaiting a response from WPI. I believe it should be here before christmas.
I have applied to Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, and if I am even accepted to candidates weekend.... I will probably become more overwhelmed then when I danced at Lincoln Center.
I recived a letter from Drexel last week. I applied last year for Early Acceptance, and didn't get enough scholarships to go. Well, they have asked to re-review my application for next year.
I am going to the Manchester area for a Women's forum Nov. 8th, and I might take a look at Daniel Webster.
To many choices. Not enough time. Even the option of going in January.....agggghhh.... I'm so swamped!

I got accepted to Purdue. I'm out of state, so it's kind of pricey for me. I'm waiting on some others, especially U of M.

I caught the end of the second when it was 28-3, but the end of the game was 42-24. To quote the headlines "Badgers steamroll Michigan State "

I've been accepted to the 3 colleges I applied to.

Grand Valley State University
Central Michigan University
Western Michigan University

I plan to go to Western, and of course, study to become an engineer.

So far I found out New Jersey Institute of Technology admitted me to their honors college, which guarantees me some sort of scholarship. And I should hear from Cooper Union and the State University of New York @ Binghamton, pretty soon too. I really want to go to Cooper, (my folks too considering the freeness) but unfortunately a lot of other people do too.

That's weird.... I was figuring it wasn't as competitive as I had originally thought. I have a really low GPA.... really, really low scores, and come from a farming community that only offers three sciences in its curriculum.

... sorry to hear that...:(

Um, could it because you applied? It would be really amazing if you got accepted without applying. Though I am given to understand that that does occasionally happen to those who are good at throwing things or hitting balls with sticks.

If we start having Engineering Scouts showing up at our competitions then FIRST will have achieved it's mission.

Well being from California you should know that some people in this crazy state can get accepted into schools without applying. I got into UC Irvine without applying. I think its top 5% automatically get put into a UC school, but they're changing it to top 14%...craziness!

ya know, someone from CSUN gotta have some school pride. Just cause you go to a college that people actually look up to and aspire to get into....

Last month we had "instant admission day." It disgusts me...kids from local highschools show up with their transcripts and based on their gpa and required courses, they are told yes, you can come here, or no, you can't. That's it. No application. No eager anticipation of that fat envelope (not that my envelope was that fat anyway). It's just no wonder that people at CSUN have to school spirit. Come on, highschoolers, come lend your spirit to my broken and dejected college.

I applied to 4 schools. I got into Cornell and UPitt. Pitt offered me an academic scholarship, too! I'm not going there, though, I did binding ED to Cornell. Not like it's a problem... I want to go to Cornell. I will be cold, though, methinks, b/c me is a southern pennsylvanian, and not used to Ithaca weather. oh well.
I think that the more certain you are that you'll get in, the fewer schools you need to apply to. Well... that and how many schools have your major...
byes for now!

Wow. I feel smart now.

By November, I had been accepted to Rose-Hulman and University of Missouri-Rolla. Also, Rolla offered me $10750/yr in scholarships that don't count towards need. I get the feeling they like me.

I'm soooooo glad that I don't have to settle for UNR. Nevada schools suck for engineering.

Did anyone get accepted to Olin College???? Well, actually.... get invited to candidates weekend(s)??? I just received the letter saying that I was denied admissions... I never thought I would know what it feels like to suddenly loose $140,000!

Well, since they are all back now... I guess 4 out of 5 isn't bad?.... so, I shall wait and see who gives me the best offer...... WPI, Drexel, Penn State, or Mansfield. :)

What'd you hear about RIT? I've heard so much positive feedback and it's currently # 1 on my wishlist.. (only a junior)

Yes yes, the weather does suck.. :( But it's not so bad if you're surrounded with a few tons of computer technology and you enjoy to snowboard..

I heard that it wasn't enough bang for the buck. I heard other stuff...one of our alumni currently attending R.I.T. will be coming here tomorrow...maybe I can get a better reason :) (I think I've heard 4-6 people say they didn't like RIT)

(Woops...this was evulish...I forgot to logout and log back in :D I'm camping out in the school)
