Team 5254, HYPE, is proud to present the CAD for our 2016 robot, Pathfinder. This robot was built with almost exclusively COTS parts, mostly using the VEXPro VersaFrame system. There are a variety of 3D printed parts used for motor controller mounting, potentiometer mounting, polycord pulleys, and to push the ball into our shooter wheels.

You can download the STEP file from grabCAD (https://grabcad.com/library/frc-team-5254-2016-pathfinder-1). This file is our robot as of IRI without the climber that was attached to the intake.

I can't seem to find the place where you mounted the BB sensor, could you point that out?:)

Do you also happen to have w/e CAD you did for your Skystalker-er-er-er prototype?

5kystalker-er-er-er prototype is almost the same as the CAD posted. The major differences are that their competition robot has a different collector, they switched to a mecanum wheeled intake, the two 'tomhawks' on the back with the omni wheels, different hard-stops for their shooter, and the climber.

Understood, it's just a great lesson in the prototyping and development process to be able to show the proto CAD, the proto video, the real CAD and then competition video.

I'll look and find the CAD for both our initial prototype robots. We built an initial robot that had a different arm and a 6-wheel drive and then switched to the final design. 5kystalker was the second prototype bot which then turned into our practice robot.

Here (https://goo.gl/photos/KTBwTt6UGNVZEHUi8) is a photo album of some photos throughout the process. You can also look at the technical binder (http://www.frc5254.com/s/2016-Technical-Binder.pdf) on our website which shows some of our prototype progression.
