As always, the deadline is nominally Sunday at midnight Eastern.
Go!
You know you've spent way too much time in robotics when you start to think the keyway broach is attracted to you...

She didn't stop at one, two, or 15.
True love.
RoboProm invites are getting way too fancy these days.

The last-minute bag-and-tag day attempts to get the robot under weight limits are getting ridiculous.
No, we are not calling it, "Herbie the Love Bot"
After submitting I realized this could be taken slightly wrong, for those too young to understand... so, context:from Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Herbie)

Buttons? No way we'll get picked with those. No, we need something more memorable. What's that? A heart broach? We'll have every girl on our team handing out these pieces of scrap to the other drive teams.... we're sure to be picked for eliminations.
Yes, it's lovely, but I said I'd like a brooch for my birthday, not a broach.

This was the easy part. The hard part was machining a sprocket with heart shaped teeth.
They're working on milling and broaching a set of playing cards out of sheet metal. Diamonds and hearts are easy. Clubs and spades are proving to be a bit more complicated.
