Not quite sure whether there will be a divide between DS 1 and the other 2 this year :)
EDIT: just saw the slots I would love this it's like um no other game before. Also nickels are rather unusual, right?

Vending Vengeance, a game played with hilariously oversized wooden nickels.

Clearly the upper shoot is intended for pizza while the lower one is intended for Pizza boxes. Human players under 7 ft tall may not be able to reach the top slot so they may opt to balance on additional pizza boxes in an effort to reach it. Use caution: extra cheeze may be present.

I see a single render only...

This is clear evidence for a water game:

Obviously, those slots are for pouring water onto the field :)

hype hype hype

Large disc-ish objects - score into the slots and load out of the slots on the sides. I could see this being legit. We're on track for an unusual object game (if you subscribe to the 4 year cycle theory).

But Q872 states that we can't stand on stools*. Will an exception be mode?

*Obligatory we can't infer this year's rules based on last year's

There will absolutely be an exception. Also, pizza boxes are not stools and that will be clearly outlined in the manual.

In case anyone is doubting my legitimacy, keep in mind that time that I predicted (https://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1517445#post1517445) we would be shooting balls into a castle (one on both sides of the filed) to raise a flag...just saying...

Well in 2003 didn't the Human Player have to stack totes?

That must mean in 2017 they must stack pizza boxes. We'll learn how to pay our way through college with scholarships and a pizza delivery job.

Guard the Lard!!!

Score the good lard into the center vertical slots, throw the bad (transparent) lard at opponents.

This would be a great camera challenge - distinguishing between good and bad lard autonomously with just a camera.

Obviously, everyone is missing the two vertical pizza box holes in the middle in between 2 driver stations. Two vertical lines is equal to 11. This refers to 2011. The object of the game is to hang square pizza boxes, circular whole pizzas, and triangular jumbo pizza slices. Any stains at the end of the match in the carpet equals negative points. Teams will then create carpet cleaning robots along with their hanging mechanisms. The carpet cleaners will be bad and all OPRs will be negative. Any attempt to avoid hanging pizza objects will result in infinite fouls. There will be 10 referees to help assure 3.3333 eyes per robot.

In between two of the drivers stations is an elevated platform. During the last 40 seconds of the match is the end game. Each team must have one representative on the platform when the endgame starts. Each member will reach over and grab a pizza game piece off one of the pegs. Each jumbo slice, whole pizza, or cardboard box fully eaten by the end of the match will result in huge bonuses for the alliance.

My predictions will be true. I have spoken.

Are we allowed to bring pizza back to Pit Crew or do we have to make the drive team and pit crew the same people to ensure they get fed without leaving the arena?

Actually, It's Areal (I never spell it right) Assist. Our team predicted that in 2014 in this (https://youtu.be/QjjzyHNqJrw) video.

You are actually only going to be allowed to have four people on your team: driver/pit crew, operator/pit crew, human player/pit crew, and coach/pit crew. While waiting in the queue, you are required to each pick your top choice of the possible 17 pizza toppings. Out of the four of you, it must be at least three different toppings. These toppings will then be placed on the opposing alliances pizzas. The varying weight, shape, size, and smell of each topping will distract the drivers in varying degrees so pick your topping wisely.

Referees must also pick their favorite pizza topping so as to distract the head referee while they eat the game pieces.

How can you distinguish between something that's transparent and something that's not?

Is it white or can you see through the lard? Look for big white blobs of lard. If they're not present it's bad lard

FIRST is obviously continuing the medieval theme of Stronghold. The two vertical slots between the driver stations are clearly Meurtriere, aka "Arrow Loops" or "Arrow Slits". The nearer two are just as clearly Murder holes, through which flaming oil or rocks may be dropped onto the field below. Duh.

(OBTW, flaming oil is halfway between water and Lard, so give those posters a few points credit.)

No no no, you've got it all wrong. You got on the right track, but you need to take in the hints. Specifically:

BTW, the object I put down on my desk is an egg, ham, and cheese burrito. It’s a breakfast item, not a game hint for 2017. (Too soon?)

Get ready for Breakfast Burrito Bash! Robots must collect tortillas in the large long receptacle in the middle, and collect condiments from the side station, such as Ham, Eggs, Cheese and Bacon. Robots must be made sturdily to avoid the Chipotle crazed teenagers wanting to collect their precious cargo. Teams may also take a 5 point penalty to collect guac, but this will improve their tasting and presentation score.

Each robot will try to present their burrito to a panel of judges off to the side of the field for scoring. The burritos will be scored by presentation, taste and speed. Please note this rule:

G2: ROBOTS must not make tacos. PENALTY: Tech Foul
for repeated or erroneous behavior: RED CARD

A list of orders will be displayed above the drivers station, similar to the panel in 2014. Extra points if you can make a burrito to a judge's specifications and deliver it to the correct judge on time.
