Hype, hype, HYPE! A trainload of hype! A mountain of hype! The ne plus ultra of hype! Un Festival Branché!

If you prefer your hype overloaded, with the sour cream, the cheddar cheese, and the bacon, you’ve got it!

As we have said before (http://www.firstinspires.org/robotics/frc/blog/2017-frc-teaser-dlc-pack-1-teaser-aftershow), At 7PM Eastern Time on Tuesday, September 20th, we’ll be releasing the 2017 Season Teaser on the FIRST Facebook Page (https://www.facebook.com/FIRSTOfficial/). Along with the teaser, we’ll be releasing Downloadable Content (DLC) Pack 1, a free package of digital goodies related to the season you might find fun and useful.

After the teaser release, at 7:30PM Eastern, check out the Teaser Aftershow with our friends from GameSense! You can find out how to watch and participate here (http://frcgamesense.com/watchlive.html). Special guest, FIRST Friend, FRC Mentor, and many other things as well, Emma Dumont (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emma_Dumont)!

Great reasons to get the team together for a pre-season party!

And keep in mind, sometimes…just sometimes…the hype is real.

Overdone. FRC Hype should be more cerebral stuff like

water games
space games
pizza games
crazy apes
the return of regolith
exotic materials
air hockey

and more reasonable, realistic stuff like that.
:yikes:  :p :D

The gif is of Toad in the style of Super Mario Galaxy, and the game takes place in space. Mario Game confirmed :P

I wouldn't say 5254 was overloaded, we have a pretty small team...

Actually, I recommend picking HYPE if you get the chance. No overload that we could see.

More importantly is that Ryan is still alive and OK.

According to Google, hype is also short for hypodermic needle.

Gross FIRST.

Good to know you're still around, Ryan.

Potatoes for game pieces?

I'm sure we could work something out with the Idaho Potato Commission for that...

You guys have a potato commission? I didn't know that potatoes were valued as an important resource.

Both words in the blog post title are capitalized, and have been used quite frequently. Could Hype Overload be the name of the game?

It may be the name of the game, although I find that rather unlikely. The words in titles of the blog posts are always capitalized, with the exception of articles. You may have stumbled upon something with the repetition, but as far as capitalization as proof? It seems like a stretch.

Words in titles are supposed to be capitalized with the exception of articles. So I do agree that the Capitalization isn't good proof.

The repetition on the other hand does make me consider that Overload could be part of the name game or the name game itself. I say this since FIRST has a recent history of Alteration in two word game names. Yes Ultimate Ascent didn't fall into that pattern but we do have Ariel Assist, Recycle Rush, Rebound Rumble and going back further there are several more. Additionally this year FTC is Velocity Vortex, FLL is Animal Allies and FLL Jr is Creature Craze.

So until Tuesday I'm going to be thinking what starts with O...

I personally would have gone with a joke about Arial Assist.

P.S. The 3.5" and 5.25" are swapped(BIOS setting)...it's actually a 5.25".
