While this is a count of unique FRC teams, it's also important to note that we allow teams to bring multiple robots. We currently have 32 robots scheduled to compete at the Madtown Throwdown event this year, and there's more yet to be signed up.
We party hard in Madera - don't miss out on the last chance to play FIRST Stronghold in California, and the last chance to visit Player's BBQ before CVR.

Well, unless the 2017 game is bad. Then it'll just be a replay of Stronghold. (Or another Aerial Assist event!)

Will the Chezy Champs rule changes be in effect?
Pretty much, some modifications. We are sending out schedule, rule changes, food menu (players BBQ preorder! delivered to your pit) and hotel discounts. We are working with hotels to provide a lower than advertised price for all teams. Should have final confirmation this next week.

Cool! We need to update Cheesy Arena on Thursday. Pat rolled back the commit which broke TBA publishing. Hopefully everything will work well.

Should be about 12 qualification matches per team, +/- one or so. Will be running pretty quick and optimized cycles.

Well.. someone's going to have to explain what happened with the scoring on F2 because the stream cut out just as the explanation started and hasn't come back yet.

Sorry about that, we lost venue internet. I'm not sure of the exact details (I was an FTA, not a ref), so I'll see if one of them can comment further. Anyways, 1678 was assessed a red card for tipping 2073 and continuing to push them after they had started to tip. This led to a blue alliance win. We then played a third finals match, which red won (not sure of the exact score). We'll do our best to get the scores added to TBA ASAP.

The explanation wasn't super clear either. It wasn't a red for staying in the general vicinity, it was a red for following-through with the push after 2073 had already begun to tip.

Yup, and it was the correct call for the situation. I wouldn't have wanted to be a ref having to make that call.
Thanks everyone for another awesome Throwdown. We had a blast, and got to see a bunch of friends from many teams. Thanks 1323 and 1671 for putting on an awesome event. We are looking forwards to next year's Throwdown!
