[FTC]: Mini Linear Acutator Legal for FTC?

I've been working with some of my sophomores and we have come up with a ballcapping mechanism that uses a gripper claw with a small linear acutator in the center pushing the two claw fingers out and in. We used a Dart acutator in FRC but were not sure if using a linear acutator would be legal in FTC. Any pearls would be welcome.

Last year, we used an Actuonix (formerly Firgelli) servo motor on our robot. A few inspectors were interested, but only because they hadn't seen it before. It plugs directly into the MR Servo controller.

We asked in the game forum if it was allowed. Here's the answer.

"6v version with the RC control option to make sure it is compatible with the allowed servo controllers."

Your key things would be:

1) One degree of freedom (RM02)
2) Legal servo controller (RE08)
3) Legal motor (RE09) or servo (RE10)

What you're describing isn't common that I've seen (elevator-style lifts are more common), but I hope you pull it off!
