Ill take a look, I re-did some of the code, I might have messed something up.

Ok I believe fixed the issue. The problem was I reformatted my external flash storage to FAT and the php server (in the www-data group) was being denied permission to edit the mounted flash device. I reformatted it to ext4 so I could edit the owners and groups and everything seems to be working now!
