I suspect Billfred was involved.

Lord knows I've done it to him so many times...:D

Why do you do this to us AndyMark?!

At AndyMark, we are continuously inspired by our customers. This one 100% came about because someone searched "2017 kop chassis" (https://twitter.com/andymarkinc/status/783453649183895553) on our site back during the opt-out period.

We watch our site search for searches with poor or no results so we can try to fix or improve them. Usually, that means creating a fix for the latest misspelling of NeveRest or CIM or pneumatic. But when that one popped up on our list, our first reaction in the office was "Man, that's bold!". Our second reaction was "We have to have some fun with this..."

Don't worry, it's set to come down on Kickoff morning. ;)

To be fair, they may have legitimately wanted to see what they were opting out of.

I feel like there's a game hint in there somewhere, somehow.

Robots will need to roll. Might want to order your wheels now before they sell out.

Huh. I really don't know what I expected, but that certainly wasn't it.

Go be fair, they may have legitimately wanted to see what they were opting out of.

It's possible, and why we kept it good-natured. Since FIRST has never put out full details of the kickoff kit drive system before, I would imagine the searcher was someone relatively new to FIRST. Or someone hoping we made a colossal screwup. In either case, pulling in Mr. Astley felt like the right signal for anyone else searching.

Why wait?

Something something continued employment?

The best definition of a web site easter egg I've seen in a while.

This seems like a fun game.

A bit more difficult than I anticipated (assuming the rule is to type something recognizeable by a human that produces no returns).

Interesting, someone could have some fun with this piece of information.
