I just wanted to make a measure of the community (moderator or otherwise) to see how you guys feel about possible creating subforums in this forum for the various districts (e.g. PCH Subforum, PNW Subforum, etc.)?

Personally, I think it's a good way to create a small community for each individual district, with the added benefit of organizing the threads in this forum.

Just a thought,

I can see breaking up subforums that are very active into smaller ones, but there is so little activity in the District subforum already, why would it need to be split? It's not like any information is being drowned out.

So, two thoughts on this:

1) I understand that there isn't a ton of activity right now, but once the season begins, especially around events time, I feel like this forum gets slammed.

2) We might actually encourage more district specific discussions in those subforums (e.g. arranging scrimmages, etc.).

I actually really like this idea. I think it would make it much easier for teams to get in touch with other nearby teams to discuss district-specific matters, potential outreach events, or other local opportunities.

If I remember correctly didn't there used to be a Michigan District forum, that was merged into the district forum?

There was originally a FIM and a MAR forum, originating from the days when those were the only two districts. As more districts came into play, the subforums were merged.
