If you're planning on volunteering at the championships, which events do you plan to sign up for?

I unfortunately have a work conflict that prevents me from volunteering at the Houston Championship, otherwise I would do both.

Honestly, I don't know. If my team qualifies I'd probably end up at Houston but if not I'd probably go to STL.

I used to plan around volunteering if my team didn't quality and competing if my team did, but since moving to the District system, I never truly know if my team is out of the running until less than 2 weeks before the event. Some years, the need for inspectors or some other position is great enough that I can still help out on short notice, but it does make planning tough.

Anyhow I am 95% sure I'm either going to St. Louis or not going at all.

Planning? You mean you haven't signed up already? Champs have been in VIMS for a week an a half already!

Both, but I can't work the practice field twice, so I'm going to have to find a calmer thing one week. Somehow 12 hours of non-stop running around for 5 days straight takes more out of me than it used to.

I have applied for a referee position at the St. Louis Championship event.

I applied to be a ref in STL a little while ago, same thing I did last year. It was totally awesome!

Hoping the team attends St. Louis so I volunteered for Houston. If we don't make it I'll probably volunteer for St Louis.

I would love to volunteer if my team makes it, but if not it will be pretty hard to get there own my own (from Israel). Is it better to apply now and then cancel if I see I'm not going or wait until I know to apply?

I would not do that. They count on you being there and if you cancel they will either have to rely on a walk in or do without.
