View Full Version : AD Inventor
HI
We have a few students that may be interested in doing some CAD this year. We have access to Autodesk Inventor Pro 2014. I believe AD has a FIRST library you can bring into their content center, but i cant seem to find where to download it. A link would be helpful.
Our student computers have very limited access so they cant just grab a file here or there from other sources.
thanks

I personally have never heard of a FIRST library for content center. But might I suggest you upgrade your students to the latest version of inventor (2017). Inventor is free for all students, and can be downloaded from here. (http://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/inventor-professional)

Look at posts by inventor_phild (https://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?t=141213) and you can download a bunch of cad parts from vex.com and andymark.com

Following up on the previous comments, here is a link to the 2016 KOP and field. The KOP links are at the bottom of the page, so scroll down until you see the links.

The 2016 KOP will have to be downloaded in STEP format since you are using 2014, but you can also download older KOP's using the links at the right-side of the page. They will open as native Inventor files.
There are a lot of video tutorial specifically created for FRC teams on the same page.
Any help we can provide, let me know on this page or at,

Andrew,
Thanks for providing the link.
Will field cad release happen in a similar manner in 2017?

Owen,
Yes, that is the plan. Look for further information next week.
