I have a question for anyone with long hair. Do you find that from working with electical circuits and computers a lot, your hair never ceases to have a lot static? I just can't figure out how to get rid of it. Help! What's a robot chick to do?
Any suggestions?

There is shampoo out there that is suppose to take care of static, but most of it's for wigs. You can do a google search on static shampoo. And though it's cold out, avoid scarves and hats in wintertime, because they make the static worse, and that usually will cause your hair to tangle as well and then people laugh at you for having hair that is writhing all over the place (not unlike Medusa's snakes) and you're forced to use that extra static you have to zap them, and then they spend all day trying to get you back, it nasty little cycle.

I know how you feel with that...
I just take my hand to get the charge out...but that just works for me I think...
You could always just put it in a hat and not deal with it?

Always, always, ALWAYS keep your hair back in a ponytail/braid/whatever :D

Um... shouldn't a bit of water kill the static? You could spray your hair just a little when its charged up :) , or expose it to a flow of water. Can any physicists tell more?

Arghh, water doesn't always work, I have the same problem too, especially if I just washed my hair the night before and then slept on it!! Moose* helps!!!
<------- Or just wear a cool hat like in my picture! Not that picture, the one below it!
How do you spell that type of moose*?? Moose*, Mouse* Moouse*? Argh, what a pain this english language is!! LOL

Ahh the constant humidity over 70% here in miami keeps the static away.

Nothing better than a pony tail. Keeps your hair out of your face, doesn't fall out- all is good :)
So playing with electronics will make your hair poofy? Hrm. Maybe that's my problem :D (My hair is longer than probably half the girls I know :D)

keep your hair back!
I used to have long hair, but I never did robotics then, so I can't help much more than that.
I have short yet poofy hair, and I seem to carry a static charge no matter what. I have to wear a static wristband before I work on anything or *zap*. Especially a pain at work. (i'm a full time computer technician). *shrugs* eh well.
