As always, the deadline is nominally Sunday at midnight Eastern. I'll be at the West Lafayette Kickoff this Saturday, so if you'll also be there feel free to submit your entry in person. :)

Look people.. I'm telling you... You can say "they're for a robot" until you're blue in the face, but these hemorrhoid doughnuts are just not going to sell!

Misread "First contest on the new laptop!" as "First contest for a new laptop!" and kinda got excited there for a sec. :)

Maybe a first, but this one comes in the form of a video:

That 20-something degree of freedom manipulator a team brought to kickoff caused some concern until someone read rule R02.

<R02> Energy used by FIRST Robotics Competition ROBOTS, (i.e., stored at the start of a match), can only come from the following sources...

Unfortunately for the person in the picture, the star of the photo was the giant donut, not the person. Looks like the photographer got hungry.

Here we see one of the most accurate guesses to a game hint in FRC history. The CDer spent weeks upon weeks inverse-ing, reversing, and re-rendering the still frame released. Unfortunately by the time the hint was solved, the FRC season was over and IRI had begun.

Who knows how to score this?

Raises hand: "Ooo, I know, I know. Pick me, pick me."

The others look OK, but this one is obviously spoiled.

From my cold, dead hands.Uncle Vito can arrange that...

This team found out early on that collecting tubes by melting part of them to the robot's arm was a bad idea, at least for scoring them. In the process, however, they found out that their heat lamp could be used to make one awesome sun prop.

"These inner tubes can get spooked mighty easily, so you gotta treat them gentle and give them a firm hand."
