Being in a silly mood and all, with a classic rock radio station playing in the background, I began "freestyling" (as Bill calls it) to Wild Thing, written by Chip Taylor, and performed by The Wild Ones (for the whole legality thing, even though parodies are protected by law)...

Wildstang
You make my 'bot sing
You make everything swervy
Wildstang.

Wildstang, I think I love you
But I wanna know for sure
Come on and hold my soccer balls tight
I love you.

Wildstang
You make my 'bot sing
You make everything swervy
Wildstang

Wildstang, I think you move goals
But - I wanna know for sure
So, c'mon and hold my soccer balls tight
You move me.

Wildstang
You make my 'bot sing
You make everything swervy,
Wildstang.

Wildstang
C'mon, c'mon, Wildstang
Sense it, sense it, Wildstang...

Dedicated to team 111, Wildstang, with love.

:D

I'm speachless Jim. Well ok, really I'm not :D Besides the obvious comments like: "you have too much time on your hands," "don't you have anything better to do?" and "why wasn't I mentioned in the song?" I'd like to thank you for your wonderful verses. Glad to see you're having fun.

Mike

ps, throw a ball at Bill for me

Hehe. Actually, coming up with the modifications to the lyrics didn't take much time at all, even though I still have too much time on my hands (but only for less than a day, at this point, seeing as kickoff is 19 hours away).

As for the throwing a ball at Bill, would a hackey sack work?

Yes jim a hack will work nicely.

Aw, Mikey, we can talk about you now since you weren't in the song. Everyone this is Mikey, but you call him Mike (only I get to call him Mikey). He's a computer nerd who is cranky at least 10 weeks a year, for those of you wondering that's 6 weeks of build plus a bit for comps. Oh, he's a stalker too.
/me imagines the war that will ensue when The Bill gets hit by the hackey... oh my here's WW3... I can't wait til I get to see this live. I'm definately taking my video camera out there with me.

Too bad Mike(y) isn't coming to SVR...

We could have a geek-fest, and all talk on IRC while sitting five feet from one another.

Hehe.

When we were up against Wildstang in the Einstein finals, I couldn't get that song out of my head. I didn't get as complex as you though, I only replaced "wild thang" with "Wildstang".

Glad to know I'm not the only one. :D

FotoPlasma, we like silly on our team, are you sure you don't want to move to Virginia and join team #116? I'm waiting for someone to turn Elton John's Rocket Man into a robot song, so who's going to do it?

Wow. I have to say that I'm flattered and honored. Thank you for the offer, but Herndon, Virginia, is a good 2401 miles (I love Indo.com (http://www.indo.com/cgi-bin/dist?place1=San+Jose%2C+CA&place2=Herndon%2C+VA)) from San Jose, California. Perhaps I'll take a look at the lyrics to Rocket Man a little (it's one of those songs which I get the feeling I should know by heart, but sadly, I don't), this season, and see what I can come up with. And anyone who beats me to it has my blessings.

:)
