I've been looking through the rules to try and find out if there is any rule against getting another Fisher Price motor and all I can find is the fact that we're not allowed to use last years because of the difference in the actual motor.
Has anyone been able to find a rule disallowing this or are we fairly sure that multiple Fisher Price motors are allowed?

You can get more Fisher Price motors as spares but you are not allowed to use more than the number that came in the kit (2) on your robot at any one time. This is due to the listing in the kit of parts qty(2) and the final box of the flowchart stating you can not go over the qty limits in the kit of parts and restricted list
From Update #1
Motor/Gearbox, Fisher-Price 2 12 Vdc stall torque (mNm) 532.19+/- 10%
21T #7 Gearbox
Fisher-Price, Inc. 174370-5995

Team Update #1:
You can only use the motors provided in the 2003 Kit of Parts in the quantities provided on your robot. You can purchase additional motors to have on hand as spares.

How about using more than one on the same speed controller?

PAGE 21, RULE C13
Modified to now read:
No more than one drill motor, CIM motor, fisher-price motor, globe motor or van door motor may be powered by each speed controller. The pneumatic pump may be powered by a speed
controller using a 20a or 30a breaker.

The above thread has the actual motor curve from the motor manufacturer.
