I pick Insomnia with Spirited Away a close second.

Either Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets or Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers.
I think...
My memory's pretty bad. I don't remember which movies I've seen, besides those.

Star Wars: Attack of the clones. Spiderman was pretty good too, and I'm still waiting to grab MIB2 on DVD.

LotR:TTT is better and better the more i see it... i really disliked it at first, though.
Spiderman is the only one i own... i might get My Big Fat Greek Wedding... those 2 i think should be on the list somewhere.
Being a movie buff, I thank the lord that someone else agrees with me: One Hour Photo was the best movie of the year, hands down, no questions asked. A close second to Gangs of New York. Ang George, even I can't believe that you are a My Big Fat Greek Wedding Fan.
And to think, I thought I knew you!

Well, since I visit the movie theatres all the time, I guess I have to say the only movie from last year that I actually saw in theatres, Goldmember :D

I'm a Disney fan (how could you guess) and my favorite movie this year has been 'Lilo & Stitch'. Just something made that movie really cool, or it could be the 3 Mountain Dews I drunk before going to see it...

Wow, I just realized I've only seen six movies that were released in 2002. The one I liked the most was Scotland PA. Very quirky. Darkly humorous. And it had Christopher Walken playing a vegetarian cop, so very odd.

I have only seen two 2002 feature films. SW:EII:AOTC, and Crocidile Hunter: Collison Course.
I like both.

Ocean's Eleven was two years ago, I thought... but anyways
The best three:
LotR:TTT (and the FotR:EE)
Lilo and Stitch
Minority Report
and Spiderman was okay
(what about the most promising looking movies of 03? I'd say Matrix II, III, LotR:RotK (and obviously TTT:EE), and then there are the movies that I don't know that are less publicized
Oh my, last year was a pretty good year for movies...
I can't name all my favorites, so...I won't
I'd probably go for Minority Report because I still haven't seen the Two Towers. (Sad, I know.)
The Lord of the Rings movies are by far the best. No contest. I don't want to hear it. Harry potter isn't even close. I went on opening day for both movies.

Yes, but the video store I rented it from (Video Warehouse) only has it on DVD. It's a Sundance film. The director of the movie said he was influenced by the movie Fargo. And the movie is based on a famous piece of literature by a very famous author, I won't tell you what but if you read any websites about it you'll know. The movie was almost two thirds over before I realized what it was based on and I spent the rest of the movie groaning whenever it hit a key part in the play/movie. Christopher Walken said he hated the ending of the movie, but I thought it was hilarious!

I thought it was awesome.......I nearly wore my ST Uniform when I went to see it.......altho I ended up not wearing it (yeah I know that im a geek).
As for Data being killed, well yeah, he died, but they Kept Brent Spiner in it because now we have "B4".

Doesn't matter anyways, it was the last movie with the Next Generation crew.
Asfor Data dying...I thought it was extremely appropriate. Data was modelled after who? Ten points for whoever knows! Clue: Their thought processes were both PURE logic.
Anyways, both characters "died" for the enterprise, so it was extremely appropriate for Data to die.
Anyways, I enjoyed the movie....

Ditto. I also was ok with them killing Data. Its hard to keep someone from aging, in order to play a non-aging character. :)

partly because alot of it was family history for me, Gangs of New York was great!
as for promising movies in '03... Hulk, Daredevil, Xmen 2, LotR, Harry Potter, Chicago (see this! it's great), the Matrix movies, Bruce Almighty (starring Jim Carrey, but it might be funny anyway)

If I could just pick one movie that was rally good last year I'd have to go with Gangs of New York, Everything about that movie was perfect, in my opinion
If Daniel Day-Lewis is not nominated for an Oscar, it is the biggest tragedy ever. Just saw About Schmidt today. Hilarious. Best of 2003 right now. If you don't get it, you have no sense of humor. Jack is back. Can't wait for Anger Management.
My favorite was difinately Minority Report. It was awesome!
Signs was also really good. i love scary movies :ahh:

2 things mullet.
One, you can't say "This movie is the best hands down" and then call another one a "close second" thats a contradiction. If it's the best no contest, nothing else is close.
Two, the biggest tragedy is the fact that Andy Serkis is going to get completely shafted. It's... It's so sad.
