While rummaging around last night, I found a mixed tape one of my housemates in college had made for me. He titled it "Songs for the Queen of Cups" (Tarot reference) and I used to listen to all of the time.
Right now, Darkening of the Light by Concrete Blonde is one, and next is Waterfall by The Stone Roses, and after that is The Life Is The Red Wagon by Jane Siberry. And after that I think it's Kiss Them for Me by Siouxsie and the Banshees. Wow, I still know this tape by heart!

This is just me, but I think this is a horrible depiction of NiN. To try and show NiN as being anything else except for Trent Reznor with a touring band is not right. Poor guys like Richard Patrick and others wanted to help create the music got shot down....this is a better picture:
http://filebox.vt.edu/users/adthomp1/pictures/ninband2.jpg
But that's just how I feel...by all means, I am not dissing the music. I am just saying that it is a one man show, and then man is a little conceited...

Adam: I like NIN's music. From what I know of Trent Reznor, I like him, too. If I knew more about him, perhaps I would agree with your conclusion that he's a conceited person, but I don't, yet.
I know you're right about NIN being Trent Reznor and a touring band is true, I can't disagree with that. Richard Patrick left NIN and formed Filter, you knew that. Chris Vrenna left NIN's tour-group for the same reason, and is now known as Tweaker (www.tweaker.net). You should check out his stuff, I like it (though I'm not sure how happy Chris would be if he knew that I found it filed under NIN, at the local record store :p ).
Well, anyway, I don't blame people who go to NIN shows for not wanting to just listen to a recording of whatever song's playing. Someone needs to play the music, in real life.
By the way, there's great use of a theramine on the NIN dvd.
/me shrugs.

Right now, I'm listening to whatever my sister has on in her room...I hate her music, so I'm not sure wth it is.
One Place.
A summer evening; I walk past the window,
Baby's crying; Someone's cooking dinner;
There's laughter on the TV
Someone's learning the violin.
How at home, it heals
At times like this, I feel that...
CHORUS:
I would like to live like anybody else
In one place
And I could be happy and fulfilled
In one place
So I get the map out
And draw a line of where we've been
It goes thru sea and sky
Twenty-five planes this year
And it's only July...
This is not some Bible, like on the road
It's just a song about coming home
And whether...
CHORUS:
I would like to live like anybody else
In one place
And I could be happy and fulfilled
In one place
And you know that I have found
That I'm happiest weaving from town to town
And you know Bruce said
we should keep moving 'round
Maybe we all get too tied down, I don't know
Hell, I don't know
I'm happy to be home (Still alive)
Happy to be home...
In the end, if you take care
You can be happy or unhappy anywhere
CHORUS:
And I think we maybe all rely too much
On one place
I know I never would deny the need
For one place
So I get the map out (get the map out)
Yeah I get the map out (get the map out)
C'mon, get the map out (get the map out)
Get the map out (get the map out)
now im listing to mudvane

The Les Misereables soundtrack. I am playing like 6 different solos in it this year at school. (Fauchelevent, Combfrere, Constable 2, Prisoner 5, Sailor 3, and Sentry 1). We go on stage March 13, 14, and 15, in our auditorium. We just went to Broadway yesterday to watch the production the way it's supposed to be. Hopefully we'll be able to come somewhere near it in the way of quality.

Any way you want it
That's the way you need it
Any way you want it
She loves to laugh
She loves to sing
She does everything
She loves to move
She loves to groove
She loves the lovin' things
Oh, all night, all night
Oh, every night
So hold tight, hold tight
Ooh baby, hold tight
Oh, she said
"Any way you want it
That's the way you need it
Any way you want it"
She said, "Any way you want it
That's the way you need it
Any way you want it"
I was alone
I never knew
What good love could do
Oh, then we touched
and we sang
About the lovin' things
Oh, all night, all night
Oh, every night So hold tight, hold tight
Oh baby, hold tight
Oh, she said
"Any way you want it - Oh -
That's the way you need it
Any way you want it"
She said, "Hold On - Hold on, hold on, hold on"
Oh - she said, "Any way you want it
That's the way you need it
