I started one of these threads on the Linkin Park message board, and it was pretty popular. It's simple. just write the first word that comes to mind.

I'm not a fan of spam, but there's a difference between keeping a semblance of order and just being a "search zealot." In addition, not everyone has the opportunity to keep up to date 24/7 on all the topics of discussion nor a memory to remember them all.

If someone made a post that's similar in nature to another post that was made maybe 2 months ago and no one even remotely remembers it, I don't see the harm in allowing it to continue. It doesn't make much sense to say "well, here's a movie thread...no one make another movie thread forever."

An extra one or two entries in the database will not bring ChiefDelphi to a grinding halt

Moreover, this is supposedly the "chit chat" forum isn't it?

On the other forums I've visited, it's usually: if you don't like it, don't post. If there's no interest, the post will die - simple as that.

Just my opinion from what I've noticed.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to be rude. It's just that the Word-Association is probably the longest-running thread here and I was kinda hoping to keep it going instead of letting it die after so many thousands of posts.

The two other word association threads have totalled 3000 posts. There no point in having it happen in multiple places.
