How much does your robot weigh? We're a bit overweight and will have to sacrifice some frame to make the weight limit.
We're not sure, but i promise that it'll weight 129.9 when it's done.

We are just under 94 with chassis, drivetrain, and battery right now. Haven't weighed the specialty system(s) yet.
You don't have to be done to weigh the robot. Just weigh the individual pieces before you put them on.
Im hoping that our bot will weigh in at around 125lbs or less. Our chassis with drivetrain, all essential electronics, and battery is currently 55lbs with a 10lb(or less) second level waiting for subsystems to be mounted.

Our Robot weighs about 75lbs with all essential components on it, but we just may reach 100 (maybe by ziff-tying metal rods on again....). All in all, we may not even aproach the weight limit, it's the one thing we're counting on not having problems with!

We're 94 without a battery; I believe the battery is 14 lbs. This may be the first time we've been so underweight this far into building.

As of friday after school we weighed about 137 lbs. but we immediatley started cutting un-needed pieces so im not sure what we weigh now.

mmm anti gravity...
Yeah we are definitely reduced to "speed holes" in our robot and it is getting pretty desperate so pretty soon we are going to be putting speed holes in our battery! Our motto from here on out is "It is too late now just drill!"

Our fully put together bot weighs 117pds with out any speed holes... hehe Decoration time

I can pick up the entire bot w/ battery, electronics, and drivetrain, but unfortunately we haven't attached our lifter yet

Force=Mass X Acceleration
We're going for 130.0 lbs again!
Pass me the lead weights!:D

We haven't finished yet (we're still assembling) but all the parts weigh 127.6 lbs

Amazingly enough, we weighed in yesterday at 128.6 lbs, we thought for sure we we're gonna be over, we have a gearbox with 2 drill motors on it and a 100tooth steel gear, it alone weighs 22lbs :p

I doubt your gear weighs 22 pounds, we used a hundred tooth geasr last year and it only weighed 3 pounds

The Gear doesn't weigh 22 pounds, the 2 drill motors and the gear do :p Plus its made of steel...

Yea, and the plates and the other gears, its a 40:1 reduction

Earlier in the build season we were looking at weight as a major issue because our wheels weighed 16 lbs all together, but we are skimming under the weight limit and no speed holes

um. I think we had antigravity last year. :D gonna have to figure out how we did it. :(
Seriously, the started at just under max the day of the competition, and as we added stuff we kept weighing it and every time the weight went down... Maybe the wires were rant in just the perfect way that the electromagnetic field created by them caused the scale to become semi-magnetic and repulse itself, thus causing the weight to seem less, and each time we added stuff the additional metal must of helped strengthen the magnetic field... or something like that.

hahaha, that's awesome! that's kind of what happened to us last year too....
but, you see, we don't know how much we weigh for sure (I bet it's over anyway) because as of today, we don't even have a DRIVING ROBOT YET!!!!! aaaaaaaaaaack!!!! and it's what, 5 days till ship????? PLUS, we have an arm that needs to be put together!!!!! i don't think we'll make it this year.....thurs. will have to be a very magical day!!
sleep-deprived,
