our district does let us work, since the custodians are in the building anyway to clear snow. also the general reason we close school is because the busses which are further west have more snow than us, and cant make it on time. you might want to talk to your district, they might let you work, as long as the custodians are in the building.

I know this thread isn't for this but I just want to answer Maxgebhardt. We have, it's useless, It's called "red tape". If school is cancelled they don't want anyone in the building--period. If we use the school on weekends or odd hours we have to pay the board of ed out of our team funds for use (custodial coverage) of the building. No other teams (swimming, track, volleyball, ect.) have to do this. Needless to say our team knows where it stands on the totem pole in relation to the school board. Like I said, red tape. If anyone wants to discuss this more we'll start another thread.
So, in keeping with the current thread,

when your current mood (whatever it may be) always has something to do with robotics, so that wherever you are (ie: Webster Hall...hee hee, yeah, it's true) and someone asks you how you are, you have to go into explaining about robotics to get them to understand ...at least slightly...what you're feeling. (I managed to get a few more people interested in participating in FIRST this way)
