Is there an easy way to make text a sketch to extrude?? I think I'm missing something big.

If your using Inventor 6 there should be an "create text" button that will make it a sketch. If your using pre-6 versions there isnt a way to insert text into a sketch (although i've seen some plugins that will allow it).
