a robotics play

hey everybody :)

A friend and i are writing a play that is centered around the houston nationals and sofar all our characters are real people from our team. anyway I was looking for other people who wanted to be a character fom there team in the play. anybody interested:confused:

Well, I'm teamless, but I can be a hell of a character. I've had a few crazy things in the FIRST world, including the long hair and pin vest, The High Priest of the Holy Order of FIRSTism, my current pic with the green hair, I also had a habit of collecting funny quotes from others and repeating them at the worst possible moment. So I think I'd make a good character in your play.

Actually, I figured I'd play better in the "High Priest" persona complete with holy skeptor and the power to perform FIRST weddings (sorta like the egotistical one, but with a purpose). Now if only I didn't misplace my skeptor when I went on hiatus...

Ooh, how about a high priest with long green hair and a pin vest who has the ability to annoy people to death with quotes from random people?

Yup, I pulled the emergency exit panel down by accident. I grabbed the handle for support and the darn thing fell on my head. Then we couldn;t get it back into position and didn't want to put it back cause it looked like there was an alarm trip wire attached to the thing.

so far I've seen some great stuff to add to the current play. And more stuff to write an entirely( I think thats how it spelt:confused: ) new play. Thanks. But dont stop the ideas from coming, and give more detail about the people you want me to add. Oh and sorry Katie, I know you probably wanted to be the maiden in distress, but theres already one girl playing that part. I don't know if she wants to share that title. Sorry.

So keep the ideas coming. I'll try to type the play and email it to anyone that wants a copy.

Why don't you go look back to earlier posts on this board, or even the archives, to get an idea of how some of us are. I'm pretty sure you'll be meeting some of us at competitions too, so get to know some of the people.

Oh, and I wouldn't mind a copy either. :)

You have to remember that not only does it have to be tasteful, it has to be within the spirit of FIRST (i.e., a lot of instances of gracious professionalism). But it also has to be action packed. In my opinion, you should set one goal for the main character(s) to achieve. I'm pretty sure you can find lots of ideas here.

hello... my name is claire and i am the other person who is helping mike write this veryinteresting play..... well I just found out that mike has plans to film this play or sections of it down in houston... anywayz mike thought that it would be funny to insert a section that has to do with my *love* for Guns N' Roses... well he wanted me to write a seen where i meet the guitarist Izzy Stradlin... so seeing that we are filming it i need somebody to play Izzy. we need somebody who is going to houston or to the Philly regional.. whether you look like him or not it really doesn't matter

yea mike .... i would really like to know what happened with this play... i've been writing scenes for it but i haven't heard anything about continuing?!?!?!:D well i guess people can just ignore my reply about filming it...b/c i really don't think we are goping to film it down in houston even though i have found i few people to play the part ;)...but anyways.... if anybody is interested and if persoci lets me i could send the people who are interested, the script so far..seeing that he's been telling me that he's not checking the forums that much anymore...

scince when have you been writing scenes for the play?

if you have been why didnt you tell me about them durring school?

oh and if you realy want to know... this week i will be working on the play so bring your scenes down to houston... and if you really want to film then buy an 8mm tape and we'll steal niski's camara from O'connor...

well im suprised that this thread is still going...

anyway... before the trip to houston i set a goal to at least type the first act of the play and get it ready to be sent out to all of you... i never did... to lazzy... but while downthere i got some great new material to write more... so some time before summer i hope to get the play out to you all... no garentees though...

im also sorry that i didnt get the chance to meet any of you... i was to busy scouting over at the statium and any trip to or from the pits to the playing field required 10 mins. on saturday of the competition i was planiing to meet you guys... but i never had the time due to team spirit... claire how did you manage to visit your furry friends?(the other mascots)

well sorry i didnt make it or get the play out on time... but now theres more time to do theese things... so see ya all later...

oh and the play was never filmed because of lack of camara and claires part of the script.... oh well there always next year... hope most of you will be there...
