Here it is, everyone. GeroniMOE. The Miracle Workerz contribution to Stack Attack! No more sneaks. No more gimmicks. Just GeroniMOE.

I have a feeling "snap" will be heard on those wings at some point.
Looks nice from what I can see though, omnidirectional stacker :)

How fast do you get to the top of the ramp? How stable are you - both on the ground and on the ramp?
Yet another cool robot from MOE!!!
Rock on!

I thought so too, but then I thought they should know better, and the wing should bend backward when pushed by other robot, but strong enough to hit the wall and push it down.
Great looking as always. Can't want to see it at VCU.
We will not be releasing any info about GeroniMOE. Your questions will be answered at the Chesapeake regional March 13-15.
Good luck to all teams

Looks nice! What matterial are those wings made out of? It will be interesting to see how they hold up in competition. Great design over all, I hope to see how you guys do.
yeah, our wings are like that too - 1/2 inch (i think) pvc.
If you have wings that extend out long distances like us (and Geronimoe), they would severely hinder manueverability unless they were bendable. Think about it, if you get one hooked on another robot (or the bars at the side of the field), then you would get completely spun around and would have to extricate yourself before going on - this is a tremendous waste of valueable time. Fixed arms also make it extremely easy for your robot to be intercepted.
True, if they're bendable, you wouldn't be able to use them to block opposing robots in a KoH fashion, but hey, that's what the chasis is for!

Sorry, Ken, The Miracle Workerz will not be at VCU this year. We chose to go to Chesapeake, Philly, and Nationals.
Looks like a high center of gravity. Might we be seeing a GeroniMOE go belly-up? Looks great, as always. (Too bad we don't have enough time to pretti-fy Chuck :P)
It looks like you have designed a great bot, same as last year. Here is my guess as to what it does.
The stacker is capable of stacking/protecting 6-8 high stacks, and the robot has an easy way to rotate boxes. The wings are for knocking down the boxes at the beginning, and possibly for corraling boxes for stacking purposes.
Congratulations, another quality bot. I am looking forward to watching the Chesapeake regional on NASA :)
"I have a feeling "snap" will be heard on those wings at some point."
Our wings will never break!
As a member of last years pit crew... a "snap" is better than the creaking of aluminum c-channel as it is completly bent out of position even when it lacks the insanely large lightning holes... or when they got twisted... or driven over...
I mean really... after the pain we had fixing last years wings... anything is better.

hehe. That bending/snapping sound is familiar...
Can't imagine why. *hugs MOE mauler award*
But seriously though, have some spares
Here's a disclaimer: we will not be handing out the MOE mauler award this year. For the simple reason that we don't plan to sit in the middle of the field and get pounded for 2 mins.
Haha. *displays broken piece of what used to be a metal file card*
We have two parts of MOE from last year: that file card...and there's some MOE green paint on our frame. :D
Can't wait to see you guys in action at the Championship.

i would have to agree with both ducky and joe... and i definitely think that creaking aluminum is a bad idea, coming from someone who hacksawed about 15 new sets of wings at each competition. all i need is a red marker, a piece of U channel and a hacksaw... anyway, i can't wait to see these new wings in action, good luck guys!

After watching the previous regionals, just looking at that robot makes me think of all the tall bots that toppled... and even the short ones that flipped.

I agree, tipping is potentially a problem, but there is a reasion this robot is called GeroniMOE, not Tippy the Wonder MOEbot (yes - it was on the list of potential names). Although it is quite possible GeroniMOE will be tipped, we have worked very hard to make it as difficult as possible to take down GeroniMOE.
Keep an eye out for the Miracle Workerz at the Chesapeake Regional, Philadelphia Alliance Regional, and the National Championship Competition!
Go GeroniMOE!

Yup.
I have a feeling that this one is going to end up getting shoved over like so many of the other tall bots tend to.
This was a very good year to be very short (like 1126 Sparx).

I see much lack of faith, there's such things as wheelie bars and self-righters (like 384) I would be surprised if MOE didn't have something like that, or perhaps they are just really bottom heavy.
I saw you guys on the NASA channel... and all I can say is Wow. In the match I think you guys stacked 6 and we're about to stack 7. It looked like something came loose, but it was amazing. I loved the little poker in the front! Can't wait to see you guys at nationals.

GO STACKERS!

Definitely awesome. You guys had it all. The maneuverability, stacking was excellent. That little bin poker works great, 73 has the same thing. Your 2 bots seem like they were designed together. I wonder if more stacker's will mount those little articulators instead of cutting off there stack gizmos, now that they've seen how it's done. Congrats, I'd love to have you guys as an alliance.
Yeah, I agree with swampdude. STACKERS RULE.
I just wish people won't so worried about trying to compete. I don't careso much if we win, I just want to stack. I watch the Miracle Workerz and their wonderbot today. Great job guys. Stacking make the game interesting.
what a name. GERONIMOE....... You guys did a very nice job getting up to the finals. Really lived up to your name, The Miracle Workerz, coming from behind in all those matches. Very kewl looking robo, just sucks that it tips over every other match. No robot tipped as many times as you all did, but then again, everyteam pretty much went after you, tyring to push you over.
When we played you guys, we had found a way to beat your autonomous, and it worked. Since that match on, all the teams put it in stone writing and did it too. Unfortunately we still lost our match, you guys popped our teamates tread off. DOH.... we couldnt handle the 2 vs 1.
See you guys at Nationals

Watch the video's.. do the homework..

You have to figure it out for your self. We used it in the benefit of winning our match (even though we lost it). Im sorry to say that its what probally costed them from winning the finals in chesapeake, since they hit the wall and their oppenents knocked over the wall!!
YEAY. On match number 96, im the human player, look mah, im on TV!!! lol. Our robot wasnt that bad, our alliances were not that strong. Were made to back not not do it all like team 365. Some bots didnt work and others burned to the ground. Sucks to be 1184. But MOE you guys had half you pit crew rebuilding their bot, did you all have a match with them later on.
Well what actually hurt us the most in the finals was that our stacker broke. From all of the tipping we broke a weld on our stacker arm, so there was no more stacking for us. That made the finals victory a lot more difficult to reach for the miracle workerz. Not to make excuses or anything though...
Man, no offense but you all tipped over more than who knows what. Im suprised you all did not win an award for that (DOH)
hehe good luck at nationals. see "yall" there

Sure - we tipped a lot. That's why a few members of the Miracle Workerz can be seen wearing a pin that proudly displays "Tippy the Wonder MOEbot". We even came up with a song for those of you that were in line early on Friday to hear... I don't think the other teams were awake enough to remember... but we were! We have been working on the tipping aspect of GeroniMOE, AND the only exploited weakness of AutoMOE. Each match is a learning experiance - the only thing you can do is get better.
You guys talk a lot about our tipping, and it is an issue that we need to take care of. But tipping in 3 matches throughout 2 days shouldn't be enough to void our ability to stack bins.
I'm afraid that all of our "Tippy the Wonder MOEbot" pins have been retired. Yes folks the issue of us tipping has been eliminated. Now I'm not saying it's impossible, we've all seen the under the bar bots tip, but we've fixed those issues for good.
Anyone who was at Philly can vouch for this, beings we did not tip once. See what 3 days and some sheet metal can do?
Check us out at NATS, 2 days till we fly.
ok I have two questions for someone on 365...
1. I saw you at the J and J regional on saturday... Were you just scouting???
2. Is there anyway for me to get a MOE shirt??? Trade or purchase...
We sent out a couple small sub teams to scout over this weekend. They were mostly for scouting and the rest for... well, let's not get into that. It's kinda funny that the 8 Miracle Workerz that went to the Rutgers Regional were almost as loud as the rest of the people in the stands. It was funny seeing the judges look at us in wonder. hehehe. I have an extra shirt that I am willing to sell/trade, but I must warn you that these shirts are very nice and very expensive. It is possible to bargain with me, but it will be hard to get a MOE shirt from anyone. I'll be the tall driver with a green suit jacket and green-ish hair. See you guys in 2 days. later-
yeah TJ had some cheering problems that we plan to fix for nationals... I take it you name is Dan... I'll look for you on thursday...

Actually his name is Brandon. We just call him "Dan-o". Our team has a thing with nicknames. I have been "The Lucas" for 3 years, since Chris Zawislak started calling me that. Some people never call me by my first name and always include "The" before my last name. Don't get me started on "Ducky" or "Coco".
I see... I'm like the only one on the team with a nickname...
