Hey all, my team's animation (Truck Town) was disqualified this year. It really sucks, but its all good, right? We'll try again next year. Anyways, i would like to share a picture or two of our animation this year.

Why did it get DQed? The picture looks impressive, though...

Well, its a dissapointing story really, because we worked really hard on the modeling and such, but, once we got to a regional at our conference, and went to go look at our animation, we weren't on the tape, or score sheet. But, we were given a copy of the judging sheet, which you were'nt suppopsed to get unless your animation "passed". Well, we didnt get the formal letter untill friday, and theyre was never an autodesk rep to talk to about it. Oh well
it was DQ'ed for copyrighted music, and because we forgot the 5 seconds of black at the end (put it in the version with credits tho!!)
those are some sweet pics
I've gota see this video, please upload it.

Magnasmific, this is exactly what happend to us in the Canadian Regional, we got a score sheet but the animation nor our name on the judging sheet were there... nobody knew anything and at the end they blamed Autodesk, but we were never told why we were disqualified...
The images you attached looks very good by the way. Would be nice if you show us the animation

2 Things:
1) Stop uploading images directly to the thread. Brandon has stated many times against this. Upload to the gallery, then to the thread via [img] tag.
2) Why are there the square holes from 2 years ago on your 2003 field? (Drivers station holes to slip balls to bots)

They are still there "kinda". If you look you can see that they covered them up on the actual field.:)

We got lucky. Our animation was DQ'ed for not sending a storyboard, but we got a call the same day and were able to fax our storyboard (which we had made but forgotten to send) and get back in. Ultimately we won at the Buckeye Regional.
Sorry about those of you who didn't make it quite so well...

magnasmific, I was unaware you could use premade models as well. The one of the Texas millionaire is sitting on my HDD right now as a gangster.

What? Im a little bit confused. We modeled the "pimp" in poser. We purchased the software, and therefore modeled the pimp.
However, the truck was fully animated by another memeber of my team.
The holes in the playing field are there because our animation was put together quicklly; i modified the field that i had allready modeled.
Thanks for noticing btw.

Try ImageStation (http://www.ImageStation.com). It will let you upload up to "40 MBs" of videos and it worked fine.
I tried uploading a 15 second (apx.) video using VCD quality MPEG-1.
