Folks:

With all these threads about collusion and the upcoming grand finale of the FIRST season, I would like to see the teams from the ARCHIMEDES DIVISION show their stuff and

JUST SAY NO TO COLLUSION!!!

I want this to die. I fear that this so called 'alliance to not collude' is going to be more of a head ache than a solution.

These threads will die - after the Championship ends. From my standpoint, I would like it to end also. However, as long as there is a game to play with the rules that exist, the topic will exist.

All I would like to know is who is supportive of this in our division. Many people have spent time discussing this on other threads. I do not want to tread through that muck again.

All I want to know is, for Archimedes teams, do you agree.

If you have an answer, please post here. If not, don't.

Team 34, Rocket City Robotics (http://www.rocketcityrobotics.com) will not participate in collusion. We've managed to win two regionals without it.:D

ARE YOU SAYING THAT YOU DON'T WONT ANYONE TO HIT EACHOTHER. THAT IS KINDA DUMB SINCE IT IS PART OF THE GAME AND IF YOUR ROBOT IS BUILT GOOD ENOUGH THEN IT SHOULD BE ABLE TO STAND UP TO THE HITS THAT IT IS GOING TO TAKE.

You are referring to "COLLISION." That is not the subject of this thread. Collision is expected.

Check out some of the other threads on this topic. COLLUSION is defined as follows...

While I do not necessary agree with the definition as it relates to what we are discussing here, that's the topic.

Bottom line - we are asking teams if they plan to work with other teams to fix matches (however that can be interpreted).

Let the collisions occur; not the collusion!

There will be no collusion around the 157 area nor on the playing field. And JosephM you seem a little upset about team going against collusion?? hmmmm...

I'm not against teams going against collusion nor do I like collusion, but I think that if we do this type of agreement we won't play the game, but we will try to run around and prosecute those who haven't signed.

I think its less about going around and prosecuting teams who do, but more like if you come around and ask us you know what we will say. The basic fact is it is a more exciting game when there is action, also the collusion artificially inflates scores and teams that maybe Shouldn't be high up in the standings are.

Also, Team #5 is going to sign this contract. I realize that I am not in the same division, but I do wish to say that Team 5 WILL NOT participate in any collusions that are brought to us...

Team 226 strongly supports collision. (We have no paint left on the sides of our robot to prove it!)

We will not however support any form of collusion.

We will either be playing to win, or to lose if we are in the elimination matches and it is required to still win.:yikes:

The collisions part was a mistake, someone miss read a post. This thread is ONLY for people that are against Collusion. Just making that clear.

Collusion is bad for the game and the spirit of FIRST.

Justr say No and play an honest game.

Team 980 will not make any agreements with our opponents. In fact we will not be discussing a match with our opponents for that match.

Team 222 always says no to collusion. We wanna see the game played fair and see who really has a good robot.

1108 is against collusion. Collisions are great especially into other teams stacks.
