Great, with the Championship Event going on, everyone is there, and no one is here to post on Chief Delphi but the unluckys who couldn't go.

What is everyone doing to pass the time?

I'm supposed to be taking it easy while I wait for some damaged/broken ribs to heal, so no Houston.

However, as a hyperactive adult, there are few things I resent more than being forced to sit still.
So, I went out and started planting a garden this afternoon.

(SHHHhhhhh!!!!!!! Don't tell my overprotective parental guidance units!)

I've been on and off here all day waiting for updates... stories... SOMETHING.

There was a point today where it was only myself and Joe Johnson online. Argh.

And then I couldn't find the webcast and ahhhhhhhh!

*runs to Houston* I can't take it anymore! :p

I wish I could've went to Nats this year, but unfortunately, I couldn't miss that much class from RIT. This is the first Nats I've missed since 2000...that makes me sad. :(

Well, as much as I would have liked to be at nats this year, I'm glad I got the whole experience of a new team and all that jazz.

There's just a couple things I missed -

I missed standing up and clapping for my team's mentors... after this past year, I think I appreciate everything that they did for my team a little bit more.

I missed Dean's speech... and with this year as an exception, I plan to never go another year without a hug from him.

I missed Andy winning Woodie Flowers... I would have given anything to see that.

Most of all, I missed being around the youth of the competition and feeling the enthusiasm and spirit of the program... I think Dean said it best when he described the feeling of being around these students and having their inspiration really give you a 'boost'.

I just read all the new messages about 20 minutes ago.

There are now 15 new active threads.

That amount of activity happened on Friday... all day.

Good...so it wasn't just me here, not at nationals. The worst part is that I am in austin, just a stone's throw away from nats. GAAA. I like the idea of a cd party....just tell me when and I'll be there. ;)
