I'd like some constructive criticism as to how I can make that better. I drew all that by hand, no measuring or anything... only thing I did trace was the Dell symbol, just because it's hard to do that E thing like they did. Any ideas on how to make it more realistic? Thanks. Btw, I made it in Illustrator 10.

the only i could say to make it more realistic is to make it look like a modern monitor, not a 1993 model

Hey! Thats the monitor I use(d) at work. I can't remember, exactly, if that is the one I use now. You'd think I would remember, staring at it 8+ hours a day.

Anyway -- my only suggestion is to add some glare to the monitor screen a bit ..

wow, my hats off to you.
the only thing that i could find (after some intense scutiny) that could be improved was the adjustment buttons on the bottom

The screen could be improved with a radial gradient or the 3d gradient in illustrator so it doesn't look completely flat.

Good job. Splendid drawing ability.

The only thing I can think of (other than the 3d Gradient on the screen) is a small shadow effect under the contrast and brightness adjustment knobs to show that they have depth compared to the surface behind them.

Wow, thanks for the compliments. I wasn't expecting that at all lol. I fixed the screen and tried to add shadows to those buttons as well as make the other buttons look crisper, but its kinda hard with the shadows since the others overlap and its hard to notice, so I just made it stick out a little more. I did this as a like practice piece, because I'm trying to be able to visualize things and draw them out 3-dimensionally for our team website layout/drawings/etc. In the future when I get some more going I'll post them. Thanks again guys for the compliments, I really wasn't expecting people to think it looked that nice. Thanks! :)

Looks great Mike!

My suggestion would be to add a gradient to the top portion of the monitor. It would stand out a bit more, and not look too non-flat.

yeah...solid colors do not look real, so I would mess around with gradients and such. But it seems pretty dang good IMO.

Looks very real to me. I think it looks amazing in a cartooning aspect. The proportions are very accurate. I'd just have to agree with the person up above somewhere who commented on the model appearance. If you were shooting for the 1993 look, you scored it on the dot!

You gotta either add the screen text of "Synch blah blah blah.."

Or..

Make the green light.. not green.

Is it on, or is it off?

Cool.....

Great Job. I really like the glare on the screen.

Missing are sticky notes, fingerprints and passwords written on the frame

That's really cool.
Just like everybody else said, I would add a light glare to the screen.
