For you Segway fans, go pick up a copy of the May 12 edition of Autoweek.

The cover story features the Bertone Birusa concept car. This is an excerpt:

"Birusa has one parting trick up its sleeve, or rather in its cargo hold. It's a two-wheeled Segway Human Transporter. With a remote, the complete tail panel folds down to form a ramp, and then out rolls the electric Segway, which in this case is covered in the same light beige Alcantra fabric as in the Birusa. The idea is to make the combo play the role of a yacht and dinghy while at port. The two-wheeler even has headlights and a Bose stereo with headphone hookup. Top speed: 11 mph."

The article has a couple of pictures with the Segway. It's a pretty nice looking setup.

I'll have to get a copy of that magazine.

Here are two Team 122 "Segways" in the trunk of my MR2!
There is plenty of room for three!

Woa... just think.... Drive to school one day with that car, and out comes the Segway... heh that would be so cool.

I was always wondering how the Segway works exactly. Does it have a power switch to turn it off so that it will lay down in the car. I thought that as soon as you set it down, it would fly up to its standing straight up position.

Yes, there is a power switch, and when it is off, it does not right itself. (as seen here: http://www.chiefdelphi.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=21034 )
